Soil Remediation

Our unique, seaweed-derived soil remediation products help to regenerate brownfield sites through the accelerated decomposition of hydrocarbon pollutants such as oil and gas. Wastewater Treatment

Our wastewater treatment products are also based on a synergistic system of biostimulants and bacteria additives, but in this case they are used for eliminating pollutants found in water. The two components of the system – Sea Sure and BioBoost – are mutually beneficial. Industrial Cleaning Products

Seaweed is a plant that is rich in compounds and nutrients, making it useful in a whole host of applications. But one in which it is particularly effective is cleaning, or more specifically, degreasing. Native British seaweed has some of the most powerful cleaning properties to be found in the natural world. And as well as being incredibly effective, it’s also sustainable, relatively inexpensive, and, unlike conventional chemical formulas, is not damaging to the environment. Sea-Chem has developed a range of specialist cleaning products which are derived almost entirely of this underwater plant. Some of these are detailed in the sections below.

Sea Clean Industrial Degreaser

One of our most powerful cleaning products is Sea Clean, an industrial degreaser derived from seaweed extracts and designed for use in a wide variety of industrial applications. Sea Clean is proven to be 97.5% as effective as the like-for-like chemical degreaser – this without having any of the health risks or environmental side-effects. The solution uses biosurfactants contained within Laminaria digitata to remove oil and grease from porous and sealed surfaces, both metallic and plastic, in a range of situations. Industrial Oil Remover

Sea Clean Industrial Oil Remover is based on our eco-friendly degreasing formula, but is reinforced with specialist plant surfactants that create an industrial-strength product which is able to treat surfaces that are heavily covered in oil and grease. It can be used on a range of surface types, including concrete, brick and breezeblock, is far easier and less risky to handle than conventional chemicals, and it poses no threat to the local environment. Sea Clean Industrial Oil Remover contains no caustic alkalis, phosphates, silicates, harmful solvents or aggressive biocides.

Tyre Mark Remover

Tyre marks on epoxy and concrete floors are more than just unsightly: they can potentially put people in danger. If a safety line in a warehouse or factory is obscured, your workers or visitors may be at risk. At Sea-Chem we offer a solution to this problem: a specialist cleaning formula, based on seaweed extracts and special plant esthers, that lifts rubber deposits and allows you to simply sweep them away. Sea Clean Tyre Mark Remover is non-corrosive (so it will not eat into the surface, coverings or paint), non-flammable, environmentally-friendly, and non-hazardous to employee health. It contains no caustic chemicals, harmful solvents or paraffin, nor does it have any aromatic, chlorinated or brominated hydrocarbons.

Traffic Film Remover

This is a special low-foaming version of our green degreasing formula; it’s designed specifically for washing high-sided vehicles via a power spray system. Sea Clean Traffic Film Remover is the ideal solution for removing road grime and dirt from cars, vans and lorries. It is formulated entirely from natural ingredients, meaning it is neither flammable nor hazardous to employee health, and because it is totally biodegradable, the solution can be simply washed straight into a storm drain (unlike chemical alternatives). Sea Clean TFR can be used on painted and unpainted metal surfaces, as well as rubber, plastic and glass.

Septic Tank Treatment Products

Oil Stain Remover

This is a specially formulated, seaweed-derived product designed specifically for removing oil stains and patches from concrete and brick surfaces (driveways, patios, etc.). Sea Clean Organic Oil Stain Remover is produced in the UK from sustainably harvested seaweed stocks. It is 100% biodegradable and contains no hazardous substances. Multipurpose Organic Cleaner

Our Multipurpose Organic Cleaner is supplied as a neat spray-on formula ideal for cleaning and degreasing a range of domestic objects, including car parts, motorbike and mountain bike components, UPVC doors, window frames and much, much more. Like all of our products it is derived almost entirely from seaweed and plant extracts, making it 100% biodegradable and completely user-friendly. Sea Clean Multipurpose Organic Cleaner can be used on all types of surface, including metal, glass, plastic and rubber.

Grease Trap Fluid

Sea-Chem’s BioBoost Grease Trap Cleaning Fluid is a highly concentrated blend of seven stabilised bacteria strains. Each of these produces a special enzyme which helps to break down fat and oil in grease traps. Seaweed Fertilizer

Shropshire Seaweed Organic Growth Enhancer is a versatile biostimulant made from pure Ascophyllum nodosum, a plant that is known to increase yields in flowers, vegetables, fruits, lawns and hedges. It does this by stimulating soil bacteria and encouraging strong root growth – it also strengthens the plant against disease and the elements. Organic Growth Enhancer contains no chemical additives or supplements and is approved to the highest organic standard in the UK. It’s available in 1, 10 and 20 litre bottles, and has a typical dilution rate of 500:1.

Compost Maker

Shropshire Seaweed Organic Compost Accelerator is also made from pure Ascophyllum nodosum, a plant that is known to stimulate soil bacteria and which helps to achieve higher compost temperatures sooner. It also helps to retain moisture within the compost pile. One litre of liquid is suitable for an average sized compost bucket.
