Insys icom is the brand name of Insys Microelectronics Gmbh and we are a specialist designer, developer and manufacturer of industrial data communication products. 

Our product range includes standard modems through to sophisticated combination modem router switches (MoRoS) all din rail mounted and intended to operate in harsh industrial and remote locations. We provide connections over the PSTN and ISDN telephone networks, ADSL and SDSL services and the cellular network utilising the GSM, GPRS and HSPA (3G) services.

EBW Industrial Router Series

The EBW industrial router series is based on the tried and tested INSYS operating system, and provides reliable, easy and secure connections for many different applications, as well as offering firewall and VPN functionalities. As it is based on a popular existing system, the EBW series promises consistent configuration and smooth operation of the devices, and is available in a quick start INSYS Connectivity Service VPN if required. Four different devices are available in the EBW series, depending upon your requirements: the EBW-E100 LAN-LAN router, EBW-H100 HSPA router, EBW-W100 WLAN station EBW-WH100 WLAN/HSPA router. Industrial router series MLR

This industrial router series MLR is a compact, robust desktop router that is ideal for mobile applications. It features the latest security firewall and VPN features, and with a serial interface, four port switch with external LAN, Linux Sandbox, two SIM card slots and quick start for INSYS Connectivity Service all packed into the compact design, it’s extremely reliable and versatile. Industrial router series MoRoS

The industrial router series MoRoS is an exceptional all rounder with excellent flexibility. Offering maximum functionality and versatility for a wide range of applications, this series features two SIM card slots, Linux Sandbox, serial interface RS232, 4+1 port switch with external LAN, digital inputs and outputs and quick start for INSYS Connectivity Service. The systems also has an integrated firewall and VPN security. The MoRoS series is available in the MoRoS HSPA, MoRoS GPRS, MoRoS LAN, MoRoS ADSL, MoRoS Modem, MoRoS ISDN and MoRoS MI devices. Modem

Modems offer well-proven, reliable maintenance technology, and are still the ideal option for many applications because of their ability for practically world-wide use. We are one of the few companies that still offer a wide range of industrial modems, as well as full support backup. The modem options include PSTN (or analogue) phone lines, leased line (or private lines), ISDN (or digital phone lines), ADSL (broadband) or GSM and HSPA (cellular radio).  For PSTN, a choice of INSYS Modem 56k dial-up modem, INSYS Modem 56k small dial-up modem, INSYS Modem 56k small USB dial-up modem, INSYS Modem AC/DC dial-up modem, Pocket Modem for desktop dial-up modem and the INSYS 19'' Modem Dial-up modem for 19'' inserts are available. For leased line, INSYS Modem 336 LL, INSYS Modem 1200 PL partyline modem, INSYS Modem AC/DC and INSYS 19'' Modem leased line modems are available. Gateways & Bridges

Our Gateways and Bridges are the partner of choice for making connections between two transmission paths. Embedded modules

Our embedded modules for fixed network lines are used internationally, often with world-wide access to systems required to reduce downtime and avoid unnecessary service visits. INSYS icom have proudly been providing the ideal solution for nearly 20 years, transmitting data via a fixed network, by embedded modules for fixed network lines sending serial data (RS232/TTL level) via the analogue telephone network (PSTN) or via the digital (ISDN) network, controlled by AT commands. In addition, with PRO modules we can provide digital inputs and outputs, as well as enhanced security and alarm functions. For ISDN, there is the popular data module, or a voice-support version (i-modul ISDN HIV V4). Cellular Radio

Embedded modules for cellular radio offer a reliable and versatile solution for world-wide use. Many companies and manufacturers need to be able to control remote maintenance globally, and can waste time and costs with providing site maintenance in other countries. However, wireless solutions could save time, money and hassle, as no client infrastructure needs to be provided. Integrators can choose from our three series of modules - QLM wireless, i-modul GPRS basic 4.1 and  i-modul GPRS 3.1 serial - depending on the interfaces of the application, the viability of the application and the necessary data transmission rates. INSYS icom offers a high-performance embedded router and gateway series with the QLM series, with all devices of this series (except QLM ADSL) including a Linux programming environment for own applications, with the INSYS sandbox, and they are all prepared for the INSYS Connectivity Service VPN service. ADSL and SDSL

INSYS icom specialise in embedded modules for high-speed applications – including ADSL and SDSL as industrial integration modules. Via the QLM-A100 ADSL module, we can offer all integrators the chance to connect their application to the internet through existing wired telephone infrastructures. The ADSL module offers significantly higher data rates than other modems or ISDN connections, of up to 25 Mbps. The new QLM-S100 SDSL/SHDSL module offers up to 2 x 5.7 Mbps, to enable rapid uploads and higher data rates than conventional leased line modems. Other systems that may be out of line can be integrated into the company network using existing lines. Ethernet

The embedded modules for Ethernet transmit serial data in IP packets across an Ethernet network, meaning any application that has a serial interface can quickly, cheaply and easily be integrated into an existing Ethernet LAN. Almost any device with internet access can be used as the remote terminal, making this a flexible and simple solution. WLAN connection

WLAN connections offer wireless internet options where cables aren’t able to be laid or would be problematic. Any applications with a serial interface or Ethernet connection can be easily integrated into a new or existing WLAN at low cost. Almost any device with internet access can be used as the remote terminal, making this a flexible and simple solution. Windows programmes can address the remote application using the free-of-charge VCom virtual COM port driver, almost like both devices are directly connected. The QLM WLAN includes a Linux programming environment for own applications with the INSYS sandbox, and connects devices wireless to a local network (LAN) or other WLAN device. It is also prepared for the INSYS Connectivity Service VPN service, and of course we can provide full support if necessary.

i-modul / QLM / Socket

The i-modul, QLM and Socket are part of a popular three product series that each offers their own benefits to suit your specific requirements.  Each provides complete data communication models that vary per application, as well as professional integration support and long-term availability and after care. The i-modul offers a vast range of variants, from simple to high-performance, and from analogue modems to the HSPA module. QLM provides an exciting new generation for broadband application, as well as a programmable wireless router (EDGE or HSPA), WLAN and LAN  serial or Ethernet gateway, plus INSYS sandbox integrated in all QLMs (except ADSL) and INSYS Connectivity Service. Socket is a low-cost solution offering simple plug-in communication modules with modem or ISDN, cellular radio or Ethernet. Quick Line Module (QLM)

Our Quick Line Module series (QLM) are the next generation of INSYS communication modules for broadband applications (ADSL, SDSL) and programmable embedded routers. With QLM ADSL, the integrator is given the option of connecting an application to the internet through existing telephone infrastructures, as well as integrating other more remote locations into the company network, whilst benefitting from considerably higher data rates compared to common leased line modems. The QLM wireless router is a full cellular router that includes VPN and firewall as well as the INSYS sandbox for own programs, with RS232, I2C and Ethernet available as interfaces. QLM WLAN  is a WLAN serial/Ethernet gateway, able to easily integrate serial as well as Ethernet devices into a WLAN network, and the QLM LAN is a serial Ethernet gateway for integrating serial devices into an Ethernet network, to suit your business needs. Socket Module

Socket modules offer a simple plug-in solution for data communication, and come in a choice of Socket Modem 56k basic 2.0, Socket ISDN basic, and Socket GPRS/EDGE basic 1.3. They are a series of pin-compatible modules to be integrated into the client’s application, with examples including payment terminals, data loggers, access controls and more. Electric Mobility

Electric Mobility is the future of motoring, and INSYS icom can offer a new generation of control and communication devices to enable smart solutions for easy charging of electric vehicles. Just think – the easy way in which you currently charge your mobile phone or laptop could apply to your car as well. Our devices include the SGM PilotBox controller for electric vehicle charging stations – which offers secure charging and full application flexibility - as well as the INSYS Powerline GP HomePlug Green PHY Modem, which provides communication via powerline standard HomePlug Green PHY and comes optionally with SLAC, and the innovative INSYS Powerline powerline adapter. Antennae

At INSYS icom we offer the ideal antennae to suit your unique application. We can offer antennae for GSM, GPRS and UMTS with an FME connection (MoRoS and INSYS GPRS series), antennae for GSM, GPRS and UMTS with an SMA connection (MLR, IMO, EBW series) and antenna adapters for embedded solutions (pigtails). As well as providing standardised connections, the antennae are robust, easily installed and are fully industry compatible, for cellular radio, GPS and WLAN. Connection cables

Our superior and specially-designed communication cables offer the ideal solutions for your individual applications. The GPRS fault monitor IMO-1 is the perfect partner for monitoring the SIEMENS LOGO!™ micro controller, and enabling the communication with it, as it contains a GPRS fault monitor IMO-1, a magnetic base antenna and a suitable connection cable.  The micro controllers are connected to the appropriate interface on the IMO-1 either directly or by an adapter cable and the manufacturer's programming cable. The LOGO!™ connection cable RJ 2.0 is the recommended connection cable for INSYS IMO-1, allowing direct communication with the SIEMENS LOGO!™, with flat connectors for installation in an in-wall connection box.
