LUL have an ongoing programme of works to maintain and refurbish escalator assets across the underground network. Escalator handrails are replaced on a as and when basis. The expected life expectancy of each handrail is 8 years and can be either supplied endless or open-ended.
This competitive process will allow for the provision of 3 different types of handrail to be supplied over the contract duration:
