PQ091 Birmingham & Solihull Youth Promise Plus: Employment Support for 15-29 years old NEETs with complex needs (including those from new communities) in Aston Ward

As part of the Birmingham & Solihull Youth Promise Plus project (YPP), the Council is now commissioning a supplier for the provision of the 'Birmingham & Solihull Youth Promise Plus: Employment Support for 15-29 year old NEETs with complex needs (including those from new communities) in Aston Ward. This contract will commence 1st March 2018 and complete on 30th June 2018.

The programme commissioned will deliver activity with particularly focus on supporting residents in Aston Ward. The programme will aim to provide packages of personalised employment support and job brokerage supporting 15 - 29 year old NEETs with complex needs (including those from new communities), residing in the catchment area facing multiple/ complex barrier to employment.

This is a proposal for delivery of a series of personal development programmes to support the target group to prepare for entry into labour market, including vocational ESOL, to address barriers and upskill workless residents. The service will involve personal coaching, job matching, local employer engagement, and subsequently post-employment support delivered by appropriate providers to address barriers and upskill workless residents.

The programme will be delivered between 1st March 2018 and 30th June 2018. The aim is to assist Aston Ward residents in gaining entry or returning to the labour market through the acquisition of work-ready or higher level and industry-led skills and experience.

Birmingham City Council will be using its e-tendering system (in-tend) for the administration of this procurement process and providers must register with the system to be able to express an interest.
