The purpose of the service is to ensure that reusable items of furniture are not sent to Energy from Waste facilities or landfill but collected and re-sold at affordable prices to members of the public in Hackney with a focus to reach vulnerable residents and households on low incomes..

The expected deliverables include:

A maximum of 1,300 collections per year

A minimum of 40 tonnes of furniture diverted from direct disposal and reused per year
