Worcestershire County Council has the statutory responsibility to ensure that the county's public rights of way network is properly mapped and maintained and the network is unobstructed and available for use by the public.

An important part of the Council's work is a planned programme of strimming and vegetation growth control across the public rights of way network.

An annual programme of planned (scheduled) work to clear vegetation growth on identified public rights of way to ensure they remain unobstructed, open and available by users of the network.

The contract is divided into three area lots North, South and West the Council is looking to award three separate contracts, however, the Council reserves the right to award a County wide contract to one supplier.

The planned work programme will be between the 1st May and the 15th July with reactive works between the 1st May to the 31st August.

The initial contract will be for a period of 2 years with an option to extend on a 1 + 1 Year basis subject to review.

Tenders and supporting documents shall be in English and any contract subsequently entered in to shall be subject to English Law.

Please note that the Supplier is responsible for obtaining all information necessary for the preparation of the tender submission. All cost, expenses and liabilities incurred by the Supplier in connection with the preparation of their submission, the Form of Tender and Pricing Schedule shall be borne by the Supplier.

No tender can be considered to be accepted until such time as the particular tenderer has been notified. If a tender is accepted there will not be a contract until the Authority's offer has been accepted by the tenderer.

Worcestershire County Council of reserve the right not to award a contract in full or in part.
