Products

Tufcoat Ltd manufactures a range of incredibly durable shrink wrapping materials and accessories that have been specifically designed to meet the unique requirements of the marine, industrial and scaffolding markets.  We are leaders within our field and our products provide 100% encapsulation and therefore ultimate protection for goods of any size that are being transported and stored, in all conditions, and have been manufactured to withstand the toughest of environments.

We have a highly skilled team of installers on hand to assist with application but are also able to offer our customers considerable cost savings on contractor rates through a choice of industry recognised training courses that enables them to carry out installations in house.

Our entire team is dedicated to delivering the highest levels of service to our customers, so no matter whom you are in contact with you can be assured you will receive transparent and honest communication from us.  We will work with your company from the first stages of a project until completion providing advice and guidance whenever needed to ensure the best outcomes.

Scaffold Shrink Wrap

Scaffolding shrink wrap needs to meet several demands; to protect workers and equipment from the elements and also to protect the outside world against any potential complications caused by worksite debris leaving the site. Tufcoat shrink wrap has been designed to provide an unbeatable protective barrier that is heat shrunk to create a drum tight finish.  There are no holes or gaps that are typical of other common sheeting solutions and the use of flame-retardant and anti-static additives means it is a safe choice for building sites. Make use of our expert team of installers or take advantage of our training programme which will give you the skills needed to install the shrink wrap yourselves.

Industrial Covers

Tufcoat industrial shrink wrap is suitable for an extensive number of industrial applications, and provides robust protection for a range of items in storage and transport.  It has successfully been used for partitioning factory warehouses, protecting a caisson in the harshest of marine environments and for safeguarding Airbus A380 wings during the final stages of assembly. Manufactured in a variety of widths up to 14 meters we have a film that will fit, whatever the size of product you are looking to protect.  The use of UV inhibitors and ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) combine to create a highly resilient wrap that is built for flexibility, durability and longevity.

Marine Shrink Wrapping

Tufcoat has developed Boatcoat, a shrink wrap that is designed to meet the specific requirements of protecting marine vessels whilst in transit and in storage.  The anti-static, flame retardant wrap completely encapsulates vessels of all different shapes and sizes, in an ultra resilient tear resistant protective shield that bonds to the boat and will not dislodge until you are ready to remove it.  Once removed Boatcoat can simply be recycled, meaning no costly maintenance of bespoke tarpaulins.  Our team of installers are available to apply Boatcoat for you; alternatively we can train you to install it yourself.

Shrink Wrap

Our shrink wrap has been fabricated to withstand the elements and incorporates the highest UV inhibitors as well as EVA, limiting damage from sunlight and deterioration due to brittleness. Another benefit of EVA is that it also maximises the wrap’s strength and provides added protection against punctures.  We also add anti-static and flame retardant additives. We manufacture three different grades of shrink wrap; Construction Grade, Marine Grade and Professional Grade, each of which are available in several different roll widths and lengths to suit your particular requirements. Please see our website for full details of the options available.

Patch Tape

Our extremely durable patch tape is used, as the name suggests, for making repairs to shrink wrap as well as for securing zipped access doors and welds.  The adhesive used on the tape is highly responsive and incredibly durable and has been designed to provide a long lasting, resilient fixing.

Zipped Access

Zipped access panels can be combined with shrink wrapping to provide easy access to the object that has been wrapped.  All our zipped access doors are fabricated from robust 200 micron polythene and are simply tapped into place at the end of the process.  Access doors are all 0.76m wide and we have several different height options available, from 0.9m to 1.8m, all of which come in a choice of clear or white polythene.

Heat Guns

Our heat guns have been designed for the specific purpose of shrink wrapping in various applications.  The Tufcoat BC35 heat gun with regulator has proven itself over 25 years and is an excellent tool that performs in the most demanding of environments.  Its 8m hose gives great portability and it offers gas consumption of 2kg/hour with continuous use.  The ergonomically designed BC36 uses 4kg gas per hour and features a large ‘cool nozzle’, which eliminates the need for safety clothing and allows the user to heat a larger area at any one time.  We also stock a 2m heat gun extension device for the BC36 for even greater flexibility.

Accessories

We stock a wide range of accessories to simplify your shrink wrap jobs and ensure they are completed in the quickest time possible.  Our Tufclips make scaffold shrink wrapping a doddle by firmly securing shrink wrap to scaffold tubing, meaning you’ll need less manpower and will end up with a more professional finish. We also stock the Tufcoat safety knife, which has been specifically designed to cut shrink wrap, heat proof safety gloves to provide protection when working with heat guns, shrink wrap roll stands for simple shrink wrap dispensing, shelf adhesive air vents, gas cylinder trolleys, strapping reel dispensers and BC24.

Shrink Wrap Training

Learning to install and remove Tufcoat shrink wrap can save your company up to 80% of contractors’ costs and that’s why we have created our own training programme that will provide your workforce with the skills and knowledge to undertake shrink wrapping projects of any size. All of our courses are CITB approved and since introducing them over five years ago more than 700 certificates have been awarded.  We have a range of courses in scaffold and marine shrink wrapping to suit all levels and we will even work with you to design a customised course around you business specific projects.
