T & K Precision Ltd

T&K Precision Ltd is a well-known specialist supplier of precision engineered parts. It primarily supplies to the motor racing industry with exclusive clients such as GT Endurance and British Touring Car Teams.

Originally based in London, T&K Precision Ltd is a family-owned and run business which now operates in Northamptonshire. Amongst its products and services it supplies thread rolled studs and fixings to Formula 1 and Indy Cart series engine manufacturers, as well as most major Formula 1 racing teams.

As well as supplying its standard range of parts, T&K uses state of the art turning, grinding and milling equipment to machine components to specific specifications. Precision turned parts in a wide range of materials can range in size between 3mm and 50mm in diameter. Our plant is ISO 9001-2008 accredited and our fully computerised production systems and procedures ensure lot traceability.

Turning

CNC precision turning is a process of machining whereby the material is turned parallel to a cutting tool in order for specific sizes and depths to be reached. Our precision turned parts are made from conventional materials such copper, brass, aluminium, low carbon steels and free cutting steels as well as specialist materials such as titanium, MP35N, maraging and heat treatable stainless steels, high tensile 's' series alloy steels, aluminium bronze and plastics. Our precision turned parts can range in sizes between 3mm and 50mm in diameter.

Grinding

We have many years of experience in precision grinding and offer an extensive range of precision grinding services. Our technicians will determine which technique is required for each specific project for the most accurate and high quality finish. Milling

Thread Rolling

Thread rolling is the process used for making external threads and we now also specialise in this area specifically for the motor racing industry. Thread rolled products are much stronger and more durable than conventional cut threads. We are able to use virtually all materials for our thread rolling service - even tough metals such as stainless steel, nimonic, titanium and heat treated steels. Thread rolling is a cold forming process which gives the thread a higher fatigue strength. At T&K Precision Ltd our thread rolling service is an essential addition to the development of our company.
