Back in 1942, The Majestic Transformer Company was established as a rewinding house for radio transformers and chokes. As time went by, our services were expanded to include the manufacture of new 'service replacement' parts, and then the production of customised components to specification. Today, The Majestic Transformer Company focuses its resources around the design and manufacture of new components. Because we keep an extensive variety of base materials in stock, we are able to respond quickly to your requirements, building a unique component and dispatching it within seven days.
Our teams of technically skilled staff control innovative production processes and ensure a quality finish every time. Indeed, we have always prided ourselves on our ability to design and build first class products. To maintain such high standards, we ensure that our QA systems are externally approved to the ISO 9001:2000 standard. It's no wonder that our list of customers includes such prestigious clients as BAE Systems, the MoD, BOC Edwards and various high-profile universities.
Significant investments into equipment and personnel enable us to produce a wide range of products, including: Single phase transformers up to 40kVA, Three phase transformers up to 125kVA, Auto transformers up to 500kVA, Transformer rectifier units up to 100kVA, High frequency transformers, Audio output transformers, Inductors and smoothing chokes, Custom built transformer rectifier power supplies, and Medical isolation transformers.
So for a wide selection of top quality transformers, look no further than The Majestic Transformer Company. We have a team of professional, friendly sales staff who are always pleased to receive your enquiries and offer a tailored solution.
Here at the Majestic Transformer Company, we have always specialised in audio transformers and chokes. In fact, we have over 70 years experience working on these components. That's why we are able to design and manufacture a huge range of mains and output audio transformers and smoothing chokes. These are not supplied from stock - We prefer to build a customised component that matches the individual requirements of our customer. All of our audio mains transformers have an earthed interwinding screen and may be fitted with an external 'Q' band. They can be finished fully shrouded for top chassis mounting or half shrouded for drop through chassis mounting. Other special finishes can be applied if required.
Single phase open frame control transformers are typically used for motor control, control panels, machine tool control, distribution systems, alarm systems, and other such applications. Our open type transformers come supplied with universal frames for horizontal or vertical mounting, and with either terminal blocks or brass stud connections. We can supply almost any combination of current and voltage, at any frequency, on both primary and secondary. Multiple primary and secondary windings are also available. A large frame size may be required for complex or high voltage windings. All the transformers in this range can have fuses fitted on the top panel.
Three phase open frame control transformers are typically suited for machine tool control, motor control, machine voltage conversion, control panels, distribution boards, and other such applications. These are supplied as open type transformers with universal frames to allow the choice of horizontal or vertical mounting. They come with either terminal blocks or brass stud connections. Almost any combination of current and voltage, at frequencies of 50Hz, 60Hz or 400Hz, may be supplied on both primary and secondary. Multiple primary and secondary windings are also available. A Larger frame size may be necessary for more complex or high voltage windings. These transformers can accommodate for fuses on the top panel.
A sheet metal case protects these single phase transformers which can be wall mounted or free standing. A portable version is also available. All of our isolation transformers feature an integrated electrostatic screen between the primary and secondary windings. Though our standard cases are IP33 rated, we can supply up to IP66 if requested, with little or no addition to the supply lead time. These transformers are typically used for low voltage tools or lighting working at 24V or 110V to be fed from mains supplies of 230V or 400V, however, other inputs and outputs are available. We have the facilities to manufacture up to 6kV at a few milliAmps or a few volts at up to 6000A.
Industrial cased three phase transformers are usually wall mountable up to 2250VA and floor standing above this rating. They are typically used for isolation and/or conversion of three phase machines, or for creation of a neutral where none is available. Our standard range of transformers are IP33 rated, but if specially requested, we can also supply up to IP66. For more information on our industrial cased transformers, please follow the link to the Majestic website or simply give us a call to discuss your requirements.
Our compact, low cost transformers with PCB mounting are made using ex stock materials, meaning we can offer short delivery times, even for small batches of customised transformers. We offer a selection of typical sizes of standard 50/60Hz laminated transformers. Some sizes also have the option of 'U' clamping fixings or universal frames. Follow the link to find all the sizes and VA ratings. The Majestic Transformer Company can manufacture and test components to any international specification. Contact our sales office for further details.
The Majestic Transformer Company offers a comprehensive range of ferrite cored transformers and inductors that utilise the Epcos, Ferroxcube, Thompson or MMG-Neosid ranges of materials. Delivery times depend on supplier stocks, though we do hold material stocks for standard items. If you would like to find out more about our ferrite cored transformers and inductors, don't hesitate to get in touch!
These transformers are AUTO-WOUND with a secondary voltage of 110-120V, making them suitable for the majority of American domestic appliances. They are enclosed in portable silver grey cases with American socket outlets and UK standard cable and plug input. All transformers are fused on the input winding. They also feature rubber feet and convenient carrying handles. Input voltage is 230V 50Hz. For more information, please follow the link to the Majestic website.
The Majestic Transformer Company is able to produce power supplies in accordance with your requirements. We design, develop and manufacture high quality supplies with single phase or three phase inputs and AC or DC outputs, depending on the application you have in mind. Outputs may be fixed or variable voltage (the latter can be made adjustable in fixed steps or continuously variable) and can range from a few volts at several thousand amps to several thousand volts at just a few milliamps. Please get in touch to discuss your requirements with one of our experts.
Over seventy years experience in the manufacture of electrical transformers makes us well placed to manufacture custom designed transformers for a vast array of industries and applications. We can cater for one-off control panel transformers but are also well equipped and have the experience essential for the creation of complex variable power supplies. Whatever your transformer requirements, whether they be for audio output transformers, an auto wound transformer, medical isolation transformers or single, two or three-phase transformers then please contact us to see how we can assist.
We are pleased to offer our customers one of largest ranges of variable transformers in the UK and are also the sole distributor for Filec variable transformers in the UK. There are a host of input voltages to choose from as well as frequency ranges of 50 to 400Hz and each transformer affords durable effortless power control via self-aligning carbon brushes that are spring loaded onto a plated copper track. Our extensive stock holdings of single and three-phase variable transformers ensures we can fulfil orders quickly.
Alongside our extensive selection of transformers we also manufacture chokes and inductors in different styles that have been designed to meet the needs of various different applications. We offer air cored, iron cored and ferrite cored varieties, as well as smoothing chokes, load inductors and high frequency filters. Built to exacting standards our chokes and inductors vary in induction capacities from several microHenrys all the way up to several hundred Henrys and currents of just milliAmperes to several thousands of Amperes. Please contact us to discuss your requirements and we will help you choose a choke to suit your application.
