Safety Signage

Power Ethernet Socket

The clever T-1000 Power Ethernet Socket will give you Ethernet connection without the requirement for costly cabling installations, and we are one of the few distributors.  It simply uses your existing cabling and by installing more than one, you can create your own secure Ethernet network for your business or even your home.  The T-1000 can be used to connect computers, internet TV, multimedia set-top boxes, VoIP phones and other IP enables devices. Each socket has four Ethernet ports and a maximum of 64 sockets can be installed in one network, and there’s no need for network engineers as the T-1000 can be installed by an electrician. 

Fire Extinguishers

All fire extinguishers supplied by KTP Services are of the highest possible standard and made in the UK.  They carry the British Standard Kitemark, guaranteeing quality and are approved to BS EN3.  We feel it is important for our fire extinguishers to be as easy to use as they are effective, thereby adding another level of safety to users.  Features include squeeze grip operation, controllable discharge, clearly printed and understandable instructions for use and a colour coded block so that users can easily identify the right type of extinguisher appropriate to the situation.  Our comprehensive range of fire extinguishers includes water, foam, Co2, powder and wet chemical fire extinguishers, as well as fire blankets and extinguisher accessories.   We understand the importance of regular maintenance so all our extinguishers are serviced by our qualified engineers.  Further, we offer a free fire extinguisher survey to help you identify which products you need.

Fire Alarm Systems

KRP can test and inspect fire alarm systems from almost all manufacturers. We can also supply and install an entirely new system or provide upgrades to an existing system. 

Services provided by KRP include:

• Supply and installation of conventional, analogue addressable and wire-free fire alarm systems.
• Full commissioning of all types of fire alarm system, including the provision of test certificates, installation drawings and operation manuals.
• Updates to old and new systems with additional equipment or repairs to existing equipment. All work commissioned and certified to BS 5839-1:2002.
• Comprehensive fire and smoke alarm testing in accordance with BS 5839-1:2002.
• Support and maintenance for all types of fire alarm system.

Smoke Ventilation Systems

Our engineers are able to carry out regular testing, maintenance and repairs on a range of leading natural smoke ventilation systems. All work is completed in accordance with BS EN 12101, BS 5588-12:2004, BS 7346-1:1990, BS 7346-6:2005 and The Building Regulations Approved Document B. 

Maintenance schedules typically consist of two visits per year in order to conform with the British Standards Institution. During the visit, a KRP engineer will service the entire system, provide a report for the site’s Log Book and complete all necessary certification.

Dry Risers

Dry risers can be found in any building that is more than 18 metres high. They are designed to give the fire brigade direct access to the water supply in the event of a fire, and therefore need to be regularly serviced to ensure they are ready in an emergency. Dry risers are prone to neglect and vandalism, which can lead to functional faults and leakages. They should be visually inspected every 6 months and fully serviced by a professional at least once a year.

Emergency Lighting Systems

Recent legislation has made it compulsory for all businesses to introduce emergency escape lighting onto their premises. This lighting should:

• Indicate clearly the escape routes within a building or site. 
• Provide illumination along escape routes to allow safe movement towards exits.
• Ensure that fire alarm call points and fire-fighting equipment can be readily located.
