Illumination Projects

Intech Developments has been involved in a wide variety of exciting illumination projects that have involved LED technologies. We have delivered all kinds of innovative solutions, from LED stadium video screens, hazard warning lights, bicycle lights and automotive high-level stop lamps, to optical sub-system developments for Variable Message Signs and LED rail signals.   

We’ll take on even the most challenging of illumination projects, overcoming every design obstacle to get the product manufactured. Intech has worked on a number of key projects, including advanced illumination sub-systems for Network Rail and the UK Highways Agency.

Variable Message Signs

Variable Message Signs (or matrix signs), are LED signs that are designed to provide drivers with information about traffic incidents, congestion and road conditions. These signs can display text and pictograms in order to inform drivers of situations in all weather conditions. Intech Technologies has provided LED illumination systems on a number of VMS signs that the UK Highway Agency are using on motorways and trunk roads right across the United Kingdom. 

We are responsible for designing, developing, testing and manufacturing optical sub-systems on both Mark 3 and Mark 4 Motorway Signs, as well as the Advanced Motorway Indicator (AMI). Rail Signals

Intech Developments plays a vital role in the development of LED rail signals. To date, Network Rail has only approved two signals for use, one of which Intech has helped produce. Network Rail commissioned us to help design and develop the optical sub-system. We provide ongoing test and manufacturing services for a range of production parts and assemblies used in these signals.
