Holliday Fielding Hocking Ltd is a family run business specialising in the design, manufacture and repair of fume cupboards. As well as a range of standard models, we offer a bespoke fume cupboard development service for customers requiring tailored extraction solutions. We also design, manufacture and supply other types of extraction equipment and laboratory furniture. 

The engineering team at Holliday Fielding Hocking continually strives to develop and improve our products with modern materials and innovative technologies designed to enhance function and increase longevity across all products in the range. We’ve also set up the UK’s first “Fume Cupboard Hospital”, where we restore and refurbish equipment that is in need of attention to get performance levels back to where they once were. 

If your equipment is beyond repair or you would prefer to upgrade to a newer system, Holliday Fielding Hocking can take it away and dispose of it safely on your behalf. It can then be replaced with one of our new fume cupboards, or if funds are limited with a previously refurbished one.

Refurbished Fume Cupboards

Holliday Fielding Hocking has a large stock of refurbished fume cupboards and associated equipment ready for immediate dispatch and delivery. Customers can choose from a range of quality systems, all of which come with a 12-month guarantee. Educational

We currently offer two types of fume cupboard for educational establishments. These are the SSR2000 (Sliding Sash Recirculating fume cupboard) - a fully mobile filtration fume cupboard with quick-release connections for instant installation and easy relocation; and the Fixed Ducted Fume Cupboard - an appliance more suited to permanent installations. Perchloric Acid

Perchloric acid is a powerful oxidising agent notorious for forming readily flammable or explosive compounds, especially when it comes into contact with organic materials such as wood. It therefore requires a more advanced type of fume cupboard, one which is made without wood and which is fitted with a wash-down system.  Ours are made with fully welded chambers of PVC or polypropylene. They have a fire-resistant twin-skin shell, water wash units for perchloric use and an integrated scrubber unit for use with nitric, sulphuric and hydrofluoric acids. Radioactive

Fume cupboards used for radioactive substances must have an interior that can easily be cleaned to remove contamination, and they must be structurally strong enough to support or incorporate effective shielding. Walk-in

For customers requiring greater capacity or special facilities such as multi-level work surfaces, side or rear-access ports or side storage cabinets, Holliday Fielding Hocking can design and develop walk-in ventilated enclosures.
