Our PTFE spiral binding products are designed for binding wire and cables in harsh environments and are particularly effective in areas of high temperatures.
PTFE spiral binding is widely used for military and civil aircraft applications. Spiral binding has contoured edges for extra rigidity within a smaller cross-sectional area. The contoured edges also prevent damage to the wire or cable within. Our PTFE spiral binding is supplied as standard in black but can also be supplied in other colours from our standard range upon request.
Spiral binding is also effective for applications that require colour coding and abrasion resistance. Our standard sizes range from 3mm to 25.5mm and can be supplied on reels, in coils or in bags as required.
PTFE heat shrink is widely used for electrical insulation, protection of electronic components and the covering of hydraulic hose and couplings for the prevention of contamination and corrosion. When the material is heated, it shrinks in order to protect the material inside. PTFE heat shrink is widely used for insulation, abrasion resistance and environmental protection applications. We supply two main ranges of heat shrink: +HST has a 2:1 shrink ratio expanded bore ranges from .050" to .930" (1.27mm-23.62mm), and +HST-R has a 4:1 shrink ratio, expanded bore size range from .125" to 1.25" (3.18mm-31.75mm). Our PTFE heat shrink is supplied on reels, or cut lengths in bags as required.
We supply PTFE Tubing in standard ranges of metric tubing and imperial tubing in sizes that are most commonly requested. However we are able to meet individual requests for bore sizes up to 20mm (3/4”) in diameter.
Our PTFE tubing is supplied in our standard natural colour, however other colours can be provided from our standard range if requested. Please contact our technical team for further information..
We also supply PTFE sleeving in a range of colours. Customers can choose between our standard range of 12 colours based on IEC 60304 or, can take advantage of custom colours, bi-colours, colour stripes, multi-colours and lines that can be produced upon request.
Our standard range of sleeving is available in three main formats: STW (thin wall), TW (standard wall), and HW (heavy wall). Our bore sizes are based on the American Wire Gauge System (AWG) and range from 0.33mm to 8.53mm. Our PTFE conduit is produced in a range of bore sizes from 1.5mm to 38mm with bore sizes being based on the Panavia specifications and consisting of the following range: GT01 (light wall), GT02 (standard wall shallow convolutions), GT03 (standard wall), GT04 (standard wall deep convolutions), and GTCRS (crush resistant). Our GTCRS conduit features improved crush resistance and a smoother
bore for the easier insertion of cables.
All of our PTFE conduit is produced in black, however other colours from our standard range can be provided upon request.
