Our status as the UK’s leading manufacturer of control systems for units such as Vertical Storage Carousels (Paternosters) is the result of our extensive experience of the carousel industry, gained over the past 20 years. We have recently designed and manufactured replacement electronic controls for all carousel units over 10 years old.  This is due to manufacturers of the units deeming the controls obsolete.  To further extend our expert offering we can also supply a complete range of software that enhances picking and storing performance and productivity.

Health & Safety

Our magnetic card security device enhances security on many types of electronic items.  The device only allows the electronic items to be used when a registered magnetic card is inserted.  Once the card is removed the equipment will no longer work.

Point of Use

You no longer have to deal with the inconvenience of running out of stock with our point of use solutions.  Our devices and software have been developed to monitor stock levels of self service items on the shop floor such as tooling, fasteners and general materials.  The devices and software are linked to a central computer where you can monitor and re-order stock as required.  The point of use solutions we have developed are suitable to a large number of items, anywhere from nuts and bolts right up to large high-value items such as carbide tools.

Point of Sale Display

You want your point of sale displays to really stand out and the use of movement, sound and/or light are popular ways to do this effectively.  Forward Microsystems Ltd have many cost effective ways to do this, but we can also integrate sophisticated control units and adaptors that incorporate anti-theft apparatus allowing you to showcase your goods safely.

General Industrial

As experts in the field, Forward Microsystems Ltd is frequently approached to commission new controls or to modernise existing controls in order to achieve enhanced functionality to a wide range of industrial machinery and to generate cost savings on production.  For the most part we use embedded microprocessors when manufacturing these controls.
