Vacuum Metallising

At our facility in Birmingham we have four vacuum metallising systems that allow us to offer various different finishes. All of these are fully automatic, ensuring excellent accuracy and repeatability throughout the finishing process. The maximum component size we can metallise is 560mm x 960mm, although we can accommodate larger items in certain circumstances. Our facilities enable us to metallise on most inert substrates, the only real exception being acetal polymers. Plastic Injection Moulding

By continually investing in our moulding department, we have been able to expand our injection moulding services year upon year for the last two decades. We now have six modern microprocessor-controlled machines offering clamping capacities from 20 to 250 tonnes and shot weights up to 800 grams in most polymers. Having both moulding and finishing systems under one roof means we can offer a comprehensive manufacturing service for our customers.

Reflectors

The ability to carry out both moulding and vacuum deposition processes means we can offer complete, finished reflectors to customer specifications. They can be made from various ABS compounds and most common polymers, including PPS, DMC, PC and ULTEM.  The production of prototype reflectors is an area of particular expertise for the team at Dual Metallising. Prototype & Promotional Products

We have established an enviable reputation within the prototyping and point of sale sectors for our ability to produce parts both quickly and cost-effectively. The company has a proven track record of delivering parts on time and to budget, with turnaround times of just a few hours. We are able to vacuum form and metallise a range of polymers, including PS, PC, PET and ABS. 

One of the areas in which we specialise is the production of promotional clocks. You can see some of these on our website. Clocks can be spray painted with your corporate colours or metallised to resemble gold, chrome or other metallic colours. 

EMC Shielding

Plastic components used in the production of electrical equipment will usually need to have EMI shielding. This prevents them from radiating or conducting electromagnetic energy and also stops them from being susceptible to outside energy sources.
