2 Wire Systems

Our 2-Wire™ indicators, gongs, hall lanterns and speech units are the only products of their kind to eliminate the need for more than two screened or twisted pair cables. This is because the 2-Smart™ IND55 Master Controller which controls them operates on a unique, patented 2-Wire Bus System, supplying both the power and the data signals using two standard cables. This greatly reduces the cost of labour and materials for new installations or refurbishment projects. The Master Controller is usually mounted alongside the Lift Controller in the Machine Room. All 2-Wire products are equipped with two pairs of power in/out terminals to allow for installation in a “daisy chain” connection down the lift shaft.

Elevator Indicators

Drucegrove’s IND50 2-Wire lift indicators are designed specifically to operate within the 2-Wire™ system and thus eliminate the need for more than two screened or twisted pair cables. They are available in red, green, blue and white displays of varying size (2x30mm, 2x30mm, 2x50mm, 3x50mm and 4x50mm) and are fully ADA and DDA compliant. Our lift indicators are compact, self-contained units which house display circuitry in a tough nylon package. They come equipped with two pairs of power in/out terminals to allow installation in a “daisy chain” connection down the lift shaft.

TFT Elevator Indicator Displays

We offer two distinct ranges of TFT indicator displays. These are:

• DragonFly™ - A range of full colour TFT indicators available in various standard sizes and fully customisable according to your choice of colours, images, character fonts and arrow styles. 
• FireFly™ - A 4.3” full colour TFT indicator with a bright, ultra-modern and highly versatile elevator display. Simple to install and fully compatible with the Drucegrove 2-Smart™ 2-Wire™ System or Otis® Serial Data.

Gongs & Button Buzzers

The BUZZ-L button buzzer module gives audible confirmation of the operation of both the car and landing push buttons. It will sound when a push button is operated and the call acknowledged. Only one button buzzer is needed per car station and landing station. Independent up and down inputs give a single bleep for up and two for down. The BUZZ-L has been designed to comply with EN81-70 standards (accessibility to lifts for persons, including persons with disability).

Also available in our gongs and buttons category is the Drucegrove GNG3102, a multi-tone, multi-voltage gong which announces the arrival of the lift car. A single tone gong is played for up while a dual tone gong is played for down. Volume can be adjusted using a simple control. 

Digitalker Speech Announcer

The Digitalker® is an elevator speech unit which announces pre-programmed messages in a high quality natural voice using a digital playback system. All announcements are recorded by professional voice artists in professional studios. The ability to accept and play standard WAV files means that the Digitalker® can also be used to play recordings made by the customer. As a supplementary service we offer digital remastering of customer recordings in any format. 

The Digitalker® speech unit can play up to four separate language announcements consecutively. A dip switch selectable dual-language mode is also available.

Intercom Systems

Quality and safety are both fundamental to our intercom systems. They incorporate highly sensitive microphones which self-adjust automatically to pick up the faintest voice even up to two metres away, and with digitised speech they ensure maximum clarity of sound. They are easy to use and they self-monitor their own status whilst idle, ensuring any technical issues are flagged before incidents occur. 

Of course, aesthetics are important too, which is why our intercom systems come in a range of smart architectural styles to suit flush and surface mounted installations. We can also design bespoke fixtures for those requiring something a little more unique.

Security Keypads

Vandal Resistant Lens

Most landing fixtures contain a dot matrix indicator with a simple acrylic lens which, depending on the location, may be susceptible to vandalism, resulting in an expensive and on-going maintenance problem. So we developed a purpose-built, vandal-resistant lens designed specifically for elevator installations where malicious damage is common. Attractive and resilient, our anti-vandal lens consists of a self-contained stainless steel tray housing a fire-retardant polycarbonate matrix and a stainless steel gasket, both compressed and fixed behind a 1mm stainless steel backing plate. Fixtures

Drucegrove has been providing quality architectural metalwork for elevators for nearly two decades, and in that time we’ve established a solid reputation for quality and service. We offer a wide range of standard and bespoke fixtures and can develop unique products to meet special requirements. Using advanced laser cutting equipment, we’re able to reproduce even the most intricate designs in a range of quality metals, transforming a simple grille of holes into an architectural feature that’s in keeping with the surroundings of the building. We are ISO9001 approved and we continue to invest in the latest plant and equipment to ensure a fast, flexible service and a quality finished product every time.

Laser Cutting

Our state of the art laser cutting facilities enable us to achieve a clean-cut finish on metal components in an extremely quick and cost-effective manner. Plus there are no tooling costs involved in the process, making it a lot more economical than other conventional cutting methods. Metalwork Services

On top of our laser cutting service we also offer folding, engraving and welding. We have a range of machines at our disposal and can offer a rapid turnaround on all bespoke projects. An in-house design suite with CAD facilities also means we can provide a comprehensive design service, creating new or modifying existing metalwork fixtures. The ability to both design and manufacture metal components means we’re able to offer the complete service, handling everything from design conception right through to final production.

Equator Rope Tension Gauge

Drucegrove’s Equator® Rope Tensioning System provides a quick and easy method of accurately adjusting and equalising rope tension on traction elevators. It uses two identical injection moulded gauges to compare tension in the hoist cables, allowing installers and maintenance engineers to ensure that it is equalised. This helps to prevent vibration and rope slip, both of which can lead to premature wear of cables and traction sheave grooves. DDA and EN81-70

At Drucegrove we offer a comprehensive range of products designed to meet the requirements of both the UK Disability Discrimination Act and the European standard EN81-70 for safety in the construction and installation of lifts. 

The first of these stipulates that all service providers must take positive steps to make their goods and services accessible to disable people. This includes making reasonable adjustments to the physical features of their premises, including lifts. 

EN81-70 is the standard that all lift manufacturers and installers in the European Union must abide by to ensure safety and accessibility for disabled and non-disabled persons.
