Services

We design and develop all kinds of wire forms and can cater to any volume of order. We also provide a Kanban and Faxban call off facility for fast and efficient ordering. We can also assemble wire formed fabrications and use Mig, Tig, Butt and Spot Welding. We finish our products with powder coat, BZP or chrome. Baskets / Trays / Racks

Over the years, we’ve produced all manner of baskets, trays and racks – some of them extremely simple, others extraordinarily complex. Handles

Wire handles come in all sorts of shapes and sizes - and are used for all sorts of applications. At AWBL, we’ve produced wire form handles for all manner of products, parts and plant, from heavy industrial machinery to consumer devices. We have the engineering capacity to form wire according to any design requirement, as well as the fabrication facilities to apply a wide range of finishes. Decorative

Many of the wire forms that we are asked to produce are of a decorative nature, which means they need to be both practical and good-looking. By applying certain finishes, we can significantly improve the appearance of a wire form. This is done in-house at our manufacturing facility in Peterborough. In fact, all of our processes are carried out at this factory, which means we have full control over product quality. Coat Hangers

If there’s one wire form that everyone uses (or has used), it’s a coat hanger. Here at AWBL, we’ve been producing these household essentials for over 20 years, and as time has gone by our designs have only got better. You can find some examples on the AWBL website.

Display Hooks

Display hooks are another of our more commonly used products. On the AWBL website you can find some examples of the types of display hook we produce. But these are by no means the only types of hook we’re able to manufacture. Paint Hooks

Paint hooks are used across multiple industries to suspend an object for spray-painting or powder coating. We produce thousands of these components every year, and have done ever since the company’s foundation back in 1991. Examples of paint hooks can be found on the AWBL website.

Stainless Steel Forms

Where resistance to corrosion is a fundamental design requirement, we use stainless steel. Wire forms made from stainless steel are often used in marine applications or any outdoor environment where the wire may be exposed to the elements. Panther X3

In this section and those below you’ll find information on the wire bending technologies we use to produce our components. Over the years we have invested heavily in this equipment so that we can speed up our processes, reduce costs for our customers and generally improve the quality of our products. 

One of our most valuable machines is the Panther X3, an automated wire bending technology built by one of the most experienced equipment manufacturers in the industry; Pave. The Panther X3 is the culmination of over 34 years of research and development in the field of wire straightening and bending. An array of features means we're able to use the Panther X3 to produce even the most complex wire forms – both quickly and cost-effectively. 

Axis VI

Axis VI is another of Pave’s advanced wire bending systems, and probably the easiest machine there is programme in the world. CNC controls ensure outstanding quality and repeatability, eliminating waste and reducing production costs at the same time. Because the Axis VI requires very little set-up and allows extremely fast changeover, we’re able to produce unique wire forms both quickly and cost-effectively. This machine is recognised throughout the world for its ability to deliver quality components whilst significantly reducing cost per product.

Huron

Huron is an all-new fully rotational wire forming machine incorporating the very latest generation of high speed, accurate and cost-effective wire bending technologies. CNC controlled, it offers outstanding quality, repeatability and a reduced cost per product. Huron is one of our most versatile wire forming machines, having a 10mm forming capacity. It’s also one of our most cost-efficient, which means low prices for you, the customer. Micro 6

Pave’s Micro 6 is a twin-wire forming system combining a range of innovative features. This is one of the most accurate wire forming machines in the world, with a repeatability on bend angles of +/- 0.1°. Such close tolerances are often requisite for some of the more demanding industries that we serve.  The Micro 6 features bending heads that allow bending with 10 controllable speeds up to 0.5 seconds for 108°. Other benefits include a variable carriage speed in 10 steps from 5-60 metres per minute, automatic pick and placing, and a 6mm (dia.) capacity. Maximum tooling change time is just 10 minutes, while maximum programme change time is just 20 seconds – that means we can move from one process to another extremely quickly, thereby reducing costs as well as lead times.

25T

25T tube benders from Pave are able to produce two or three dimensional finished form products in tube materials of up to 32 mm diameter. A robust design coupled with quick and easy tooling and product change-over features ensures minimum downtime and maximum productivity. For our customers, this means a faster turnaround and lower costs of production. The 25T is capable of handling tube lengths of up to 4 metres, has a maximum feeder machine load time of 3 seconds, and offers outstanding repeatability on bend angles and on position (+/- 0.1° and +/- 0.1 mm respectively).
