Fibreoptic Instruments

AP Technologies offers a range of Fibreoptic Instruments from Fibotec Fiberoptics GmbH of Meiningen Germany. Instruments include:

• Fibre Fault Locator: for detecting and characterising breaks and reflective faults in optical fibres.
• Broadband ASE Sources: use the ASE of optically pumped rare-earth doped core optical fibres to generate broadband output from only a few nm to the entire emission spectre of the dopant.
• Narrowband Laser Diodes: single frequency laser diode sources to provide a sub-MHz linewidth with standard wavelengths from 1530nm to 1600nm. Options for other wavelengths if required
• Er-Doped Fibre Amplifiers: intended for use in the C- and L- Bands of the ITU channel grid and designed with the METRO market in mind.
• Pulsed Fibre Amplifier MOPA: these light sources have a high power density and excellent beam making them ideally suited to many test and measurement applications.

High Power Laser Diodes

We also supply Fibotec high-power laser diodes. Fibotec is a renowned company with years of experience and expertise in high current and high speed laser drive circuits. The FiboTYPE modules provide excellent modulation characteristics while protecting the laser diode at the same time. Fibotec are experts within the field of handling optical fibre and are fully equipped to create laser diode modules to customers' specific requirements.

Light Emitting Diodes

We supply a range of light emitting diodes from US manufacturers, Opto Diode Corp. The Opto Diode Corp was established in 1981 and specialises in the manufacture of LED's, IRLED's, LED arrays, silico photodiodes, gallium aluminium arsenide photodiodes and opto-electronic assemblies. We also supply UV LED technology from The Fox Group Inc and Lumex, Inc. Our light emitting diodes are grouped into four main categories: Ultra Violet, Visible, Near Infrared and Super Power MRAs.

Silicon Photodiodes

Our range of silicon photodiodes are manufactured by the Opto Diode Corporation. Silicon otodiodes are semiconductor light sensors that generate a current or voltage when the semiconductor is illuminated by light. Our standard range of silicon photodiodes are grouped into five categories:

Single-Element, Multi-Element, High Speed Low Bias, Hybrid Detector-Preamps and Solderable Die.

The Opto Diode Corp has more than 50 years experience within the silicon photodiode design and manufacture industry and is able to design custom made items to suit your needs.
