Since our inception in 1983, we have been developing and manufacturing chemical formulations for a range of industries. Our high quality products and services include metal finishing and anodising products for construction, aerospace and automotives, effluent control and water treatment, toll manufacture, commodity chemicals, formulation for specific functions, surface cleaning and sanitisation products, and technical support and consultation.

Almetron is an ISO 9001 2008 approved company and a Qualicoat member, and we manufacture all of our products on our UK site in Wrexham.

Pre-Treatment Product

At Almetron, we have a range of metal pre-treatment products and technologies for the construction, aerospace and automotive industries. These include metal cleaners and degreasers, aluminium etches and additives, inhibitors, pickling solutions, chromating solutions/technologies, phosphating solutions/technologies, pre and post anodising treatment chemicals, Qualicoat-approved non-chrome and non-phosphate conversion coatings, rinse aids and flocculants, dyes and electrocolouring salts, deoxidisers and desmuts, hot sealing additives, cold sealing solutions and salts, extrusion die stripping solutions and additives, surface passivates, paint and powder stripping solutions, and dosing equipment.

Toll Manufacture and Commodity Chemicals

As a manufacturer and supplier of high-quality chemicals, we have a range of toll manufacture and commodity chemical services. These include formulation of products for specific functions, blending of formulations specified by customers, blending and delivery of bulk and semi bulk liquids, supply of commodity chemicals (be it in bulk, semi bulk or drums), and off/on highway blends of urea.

High Temperature Fabrics

As well as manufacturing chemicals, we can also provide a range of high temperature fabrics, for applications in extrusion and related industries. These fabrics are effective at minimising damage to hot metal surfaces after hot processes such as extrusion, rolling, drawing or high temperature post treatments.

Our high temperature fabrics include products such as Nomex spacer sleeves, Kevlar run off pads and Nomex stillage liners.

Consultancy Training

In addition to our range of products, we can also offer training in the operation and analysis of said products, as well as health, safety and environmental issues. We have typically prepared courses like safe handling of chemicals in standard and semi bulk packaging, die stripping theory and practice, and practice and theory courses compatible with our pre-treatment systems.

As Qualicoat members, we are well-versed in their pre-treatment requirements, and have aided other companies in establishing their systems for approval. Companies we have supplied have benefited greatly from our courses, and they often include them in their training.
