ACT Resource is our specialist service division set up to provide professional consultancy services that support our client’s health, safety and environmental initiatives. Its main aim is to help organisations establish or maintain an effective risk management strategy which meets their obligations as well as their corporate goals. 

Instead of taking a prescriptive approach to risk management, we like to work with clients to establish solutions that are both acceptable and effective. To help you develop and maintain a risk management or CSR strategy, ACT Resource provides support in both a consultative and training capacity, as well as offering the services of an independent, confidential and cost-effective auditing team. 

Training

ACT has become a globally recognised provider of health, safety and environmental training solutions, having delivered both off-the-shelf and bespoke courses in venues all over the world for more than 20 years. In that time we have had to constantly develop and refine our training packages in response to changing legislation, management practices and learning styles, but our commitment to helping clients achieve their learning goals has not changed. Our courses, which are accredited by the likes of NEBOSH, IOSH, iAS, IEMA, CIEH, ECITB/CCNSG, CITB/CSkills, City & Guilds and UKATA, are delivered by fully qualified professionals with many years of industry experience.

Publications

The ACT Resource division authors and distributes a number of essential guides, audit checklists and PowerPoint presentations, many of which are published by RMS Publishing. The range includes:

• NEBOSH study books and presentations – supporting professional course delivery in the principal areas of occupational health, safety, environment, fire and risk management.
• Audit checklists – comprising of workbooks for recording findings/actions and accompanied by guidance for aiding audit assessment and decision making. 
• Essential guides – a series of publications which focus on a range of health, safety and environmental issues. 
• Technical publications – including policies and manuals, employee handbooks and training materials.

E-learning

ACT addresses the need for flexible training solutions through the provision of a range of online training products. This means that employees who do not work consistent hours and who cannot attend classroom courses can still benefit from accredited health, safety and environmental training. Our e-learning courses can be started at any time of the day and from anywhere in the world. ACT now offers its services to clients throughout the world. This includes professional auditing and consultancy provided by ACT Resource as well as health, safety and environmental training courses and e-learning programmes provided by ACT Academy.

Audit

ACT supports client health and safety initiatives through the provision of auditor training courses as well as professional auditing services. Auditor training is offered through several accredited courses and e-learning programmes delivered by the ACT Academy. These are listed on our website.
