Description

THIS NOTICE IS PLACED ON BEHALF OF SWINDON CCG

Swindon Clinical Commissioning Group is seeking quotations from providers with the capability, capacity and experience to deliver a series of films produced with and for young people, their families and professionals. These will be used as educational resources to enable young people to access help to mental health services and for parents to support their young people who are waiting to access help.

The films will:

- enable better uptake and access to mental health support services in Swindon and nationally,

- reduce the mental health stigma across different groups of young people,

- highlight the experiences of different groups of young people on waiting lists for services,

- empower their families to support them whilst they are waiting for help.

A studio will be required to produce high-quality films, some may be produced with actors and in some it may be important to produce resources that protect young people's anonymity.

The maximum funding available is £60,000 including any VAT payable.

The expectation is that a range of films will be produced, explaining what happens in Swindon Support Services, what the buildings look like and what young people can expect from their appointments. Of this series of films we expect at least one film to be a longer, self-help, resource produced with professional clinicians. The remainder of the series should be shorter films (no more than 5 minutes) which will utilise young people/actors as the 'cast'.

There will need to be two versions of each film. One with localised information included and one edited to remove any localised information so that they can also become a national resource. The expectation is that all resources will be readily available via YouTube.

Parties interested in providing these services should submit their quotations by 5PM 10th February 2020 to Esther Schmidt by email: [email protected]

Quotes must specify (word limits apply):

1.How children, young people and their families will be safeguarded during this process and thereafter? (300 words)

2.Tell us the size of team that would be working to produce these films and your proposed infrastructure. (300 words)

3.How you propose to produce the films, including access to professional actors where patients do not wish to be involved? (1000 words) You must include a detailed project plan. Your answer should include the number of films to be produced (not included in word count)

4.Tell us about your skills and previous experience of engaging with young people via this communications method, particularly those with moderate to complex health needs, such as autism, learning disabilities across multi-cultural backgrounds and all ages from 10-25. You should provide links to a number of previously produced pieces of work as similar to the requirement as possible. (1000 words)

See the Additional Text section for details as to how the quotations will be evaluated
