Ultrasonic Welding Machines

Over the last two decades, Xfurth has built up a portfolio of high-performance ultrasonic welding machines that can be used for a variety of functions, including component welding, spot welding, swaging, riveting, inserting and de-gating mouldings. With an ‘H’ frame aluminum design and a rigid dovetail head assembly, our machines are reliable and stable in use. They come complete with Polyurethane moulded front and rear hood with rear access doors. A touch screen control interface makes them extremely easy to use, and a 99 program memory saves time for repeat processes.

Ultrasonic Hand Welders

It is often the case that automated welding processes are just not viable for large parts. In these situations, a low-cost alternative is needed. Light, compact and robust, our hand held pistol welding systems can be used in a multitude of applications. Spot-welding, staking of components and re-work is made possible with these mobile systems that allow access to difficult weld areas. This makes them perfect for a variety of work, including automotive welding and repair, prototyping, conveyor belt repair, re-work for automation, fabric repairs and joining, blister packs, and Vac forming. Visit our website and find out more about our XHP 840, XSH 840 and XPH 840 models.

Spin Welding Machines

Our spin welding machines have been developed over a number of years to ensure high performance results are consistently achieved. Our spin welding machines have been well proven for their reliability and stability in a range of industries and feature a number of attributes as standard, such as an ‘H’ frame aluminium casting construction, adjustable load position to minimise stroke, removable CF card for easy updates to machine control software, printout capability of all set parameters, touch screen control interface and more. All of our spin welding machines can be customised to meet specific requirements.

Vibration Welding Machines

Alongside our spin welding machines, we also supply state of the art vibration welding machines. The CEMAS Elettra range of vibration welding machines are available in a range of sizes and can be customised to meet specific application/ customer requirements. Machines can feature dual welding technology for improved performance and application if required.

Special Purpose Machines

Xfurth is run by engineers with the industry experience and technical know-how to build bespoke, special purpose machines. Our tailor-made machines are renowned for their exceptional design, build quality, reliability and functionality. We establish a close working relationship with our clients to ensure that their special requirements are understood. We like to take on any challenge, meeting and often exceeding our customers' expectations. Throughout the process, they have the opportunity to have as much or as little input as they want. Indeed, many customers have relied on us to take the project from the initial concept right through to installation and staff training. Sometimes our customers have their own preferred machine builder. If requested, we can work with them too, advising on the integration of ultrasonic equipment for the best solution. If this is not required, we are more than happy to supply our equipment as stand-alone systems. Follow the link to find examples of our special purpose machines.

IR & Hotplate Welding

Xfurth Infrared and Hotplate welding machines, in partnership with CEMAS Elettra, are also available. These fully electrical machines feature remarkable technology to achieve fantastic results. Their full electric quality ensures excellent repetitiveness, accuracy and fluidity in movements and dynamics.  Machines are available in different sizes to accommodate the processing of small, medium and large sized components. Their user interface enables complete control over the welding parameters and the ability to change settings as required.

Ultrasonic Food Cutting

With greater demand and expectation for high pace, low waste production, ultrasonic food cutting has become increasingly popular in the food manufacturing industry. Our ultrasonic food cutting machines feature a titanium blade for precise, almost frictionless cutting. Manufacturers opt for ultrasonic food cutting machines to achieve outstanding quality results, low waste, high product adaptability and reduced machine maintenance. Whether you are cutting tray bakes, sandwiches, cakes or extruded foods, ultrasonic food cutting machines are the perfect choice for cutting foods neatly and effortlessly.

Tooling

With considerable experience in the production of tooling for ultrasonic welding, Xfurth uses its state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities to produce sonotrodes in aluminum, titanium and special sintered steels. Sonotrodes transmit the welding energy into the component that is to be welded. The design of the sonotrode/horn depends on numerous factors, including amplitude/grain required, frequency, material to be welded, sonotrode/horn material, profile or form of component, and component size. Tooling is available for machines of every frequency, make and model. To ensure optimum efficiency, every sonotrode is systematically tested and inspected using the latest frequency analyzer before leaving our factory. We’ll also carry out weld trials prior to dispatch.

Plastic Welding Consultancy & Design Services

As well as manufacturing and supplying an excellent selection of plastic welding machines, Xfurth also provide our own consultancy service to give you the best possible advice on engineering design. We can guide you through every aspect of the process, from earliest concept to final product creation. Our expert team will give you the benefit of their experience on designing weld joints, welding materials, prototype welding tests, machine design and much more. And, if you wish, you can assign your brief to Xfurth as a turnkey project, meaning we’ll oversee and coordinate every single stage of product development.
