Press Tools

Waveney has a considerable amount of experience in the design and manufacture of press tools, including progression, compound, transfer and multi-slide tooling. Our extremely accurate EDM technologies are highly suitable for cutting dies, punches, stripper plate, punch plate and other die components, ensuring optimum precision every time. EDM

We are one of the few precision engineering companies that can combine the equipment and the expertise to provide both EDM wire and EDM sinking capabilities. With us, no job is too big or too small – we can machine components weighing up to two tonnes, either as one-offs or in batches. 

EDM is a process that facilitates the economic production of complex forms that cannot be produced in a single piece using conventional methods. As a non-contact procedure, it ensures no stresses are placed on the component during manufacture – this enables high tolerances to be achieved, avoiding distortion and leaving a surface that requires only minimal finishing.

Applicator Tooling and Spares

At Waveney Precision we fully appreciate that our customers need a fast turn around time for all their tooling and spares, which is why we manufacture tooling and spare parts for our own applicators and most other makes in house.  This enables us to get the job under way and completed as quickly as possible, thereby reducing down time and production delays.  We understand the importance of quality and durability as well, and use our best resources, including experience and expertise, to provide both EDM wire erosion and EDM sinking capabilities.  All our sturdy spare parts are made from pre-hardened materials, thus avoiding the possibility of distortion when hardening pre-formed parts.  We manufacture consumables and spares for almost any  make of applicator.  We are always happy to help our customers and fulfil their tooling needs, however simple or complex.  Just call us or send an email to discuss your requirements.
