Vapor-Tek Ltd specialise in Volatile Corrosion Inhibitors (VCIs), also known as Vapour Phase Inhibitors (VPIs). These are designed to protect against rust and corrosion on the inside of engines, gearboxes, fuel tanks, packaged metal parts, and other areas that are difficult to coat due to their inaccessibility, for example pipework, pumps and compressors. VCIs or VPIs are available in the form of oils, paper, and water based vapours. Our staff are well qualified to provide advice on the best solutions for solving your rust and corrosion problems. Corrosion often occurs in areas of industrial and atmospheric pollution, such a manufacturing or power plants. Rust also sets in after long periods of storage in harsh conditions, or in transport. There's no way of escaping it: your plant and/or product components are often exposed to the onset of corrosion. But by using our VPIs/VCIs, you have the power to inhibit the process.
Give us a call today to discuss your needs – our highly knowledgeable staff will propose the best solution for the task.
Vaporol is our combined VPI and Contact Inhibitor Oil, an innovative solution that gets to the heart of the problem of corrosion in even the most inaccessible areas. Conventional preservative oils must coat all of the surfaces for complete protection, which is certainly difficult if not impossible. Vaporol, on the other hand, only needs to be present in the tank or enclosed area – the vapours do the rest. So if you've got a complex structure with hard to reach nooks and crannies such as an engine or gearbox, Vaporol is the perfect solution. The advantages of Vaporol are numerous and varied – it's cost-effective, it's reliable, it's long lasting, it's Nitrite free and therefore environmentally friendly, and it's compatible with petrol, diesel, fuel oils and most lubricants.
Preventing corrosion on metal parts and machinery destined for export has been a difficult task until now. No more thick, heavy, impractical coatings of invariably poor quality - After years of development and testing, Vapor-Tek have come up with the perfect solution in the form of Steelgard Export. This unique formula protects all major metals and alloys that you're preparing to transport or store, even under harsh conditions. It's easy to apply, spreads and penetrates, displaces water, removes fingerprints, and most importantly, it covers the complete assembly. It's guaranteed to save you time and money!
This is a premium version of our Steelgard solution and has been developed to meet the requirements of the MoD Standard DEF.STAN 68-10 (PX-24) and NATO CODE C-634. It's approved by many engineering and government organisations, as well as British and other International Aerospace.
Extremely easy to apply and economical in use, Steelgard GP has been formulated to protect all metals (ferrous and non-ferrous) against corrosion. It’s particularly effective in combating the effects of salt water, acid fumes and other corrosive vapours.
Cablegard is an anti-corrosive grease specially formulated for overhead conductors. Although aluminium cables are generally corrosion resistant, strands that are used together create crevices that are prone to corrosion. Cablegard is able to reach where other protective formulas cannot, and can therefore protect the entire cable (including all crevices) from corrosion and the damaging effects this has. Power generators and distributors will certainly make significant cost savings in the long run. Like many of our special formulas, Cablegard is extremely easy to apply and stays in place – it will not melt or drain away like many conventional products.
Here at Vapor-Tek Ltd, we are pleased to supply Steelgard 521. Steelgard 521 is a premium quality product which has been expertly designed and manufactured to Ministry of Defence standard DEF.STAN 68-10 (PX-24) and the NATO Code C-634. This product is also approved by various leading British and foreign aerospace, engineering and government organisations (if you would like to find out more about these organisations, please get in touch). Steelgard 521 is also available in aerosol form to suit a range of general maintenance purposes. Please visit our website for more information or contact us directly at Vapor-Tek Ltd and we provide all the information you may need.
We are also pleased to offer Steelgard TD. Steelgard TD is a product similar to Steelgard 521 but differs in that on application it leaves a thin, touch-dry, non-oily film. This provides users with improved handling and presentation. Steelgard TD’s non-tacky film does not gather dust or debris. Please contact our friendly team at Vapor-Tek Ltd for more information.
Aquavap is a product with similar functions to Vaporol (details on our website), however, it differs in that it uses water in place of oil as the ‘carrier’. Aquavap is used for a wide range of applications such as the pressure testing of pumps, fire extinguishers, gas cylinders, pipework, heat exchangers and hydraulic systems. It is also used for certain transportation and storage processes to prevent corrosion of metal parts.
Steelgard VOC-Free is a soft film corrosion preventative which has been expertly designed and manufactured in line with the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and Statutory Instrument 1991, No.472. Film Type: BSI 1133, Section 6, TP5. This product does not drain from the surface and can be easily removed if required. If you would like to find out more about Steelgard VOC-Free, please contact us directly at Vapor-Tek Ltd.
Steelgard RP Grease has been designed to suit heavy duty applications. This product is easy to apply by brush and the thickness can be easily controlled upon application (usually less than 50 microns). Please visit our website to find out more about Steelgard RP Grease.
