Routing

At our production facility just outside Runcorn we have a selection of manual and CNC routers that enable us to profile any part whilst achieving high quality finishes and very close tolerances. All of the CNC machines we have at our disposal come complete with the latest 2D and 3D CAD/CAM packages and are operated by highly skilled and experienced engineers. To ensure our products meet the standard that is required of them we carry out a number of rigorous inspections as part of our ISO-accredited quality control procedures. 

TM Plastics has plastic machining experience going all the way back to the early 1980s, and over the course of several decades we have machined components for many of the world’s leading companies. We’re able to draw upon this experience to advise and guide design teams in the best ways of lowering production costs and minimising time to market. 

Turning

We also have at our disposal both CNC and traditional lathes which are operated by a team of highly competent engineers. The CNC lathes are DNC linked to a powerful CAD-CAM system as well as advanced program facilities. Meanwhile our conventional lathes are all equipped with DROs (Digital Read Outs), allowing us to achieve very close tolerances (these machines are mostly used for small batch jobs). Fabrication

TM Plastics has been providing a fabrication and site service to complement its machining and supply services since the company was established back in 1988. Naturally, therefore, we have a great deal of experience providing welded solutions for our customers.   We stock a range of plastic materials, rod, sheet, pipe and fittings, and our engineers are capable of welding a range of different plastics, including PVC, PP, Polycarbonate, PETG, PE, PTFE and PVDF. Having both the welding materials and the welding skills at our immediate disposal means we can offer fast solutions and respond to breakdowns quicker than almost anybody else. TM Plastics’ welding engineers are vastly experienced and trained to a very high standard.

Guarding

One of the areas in which we specialise is the fabrication of bespoke plant/machine guarding. We can either perform an on-site survey and fabricate the guard in-house for delivery, or we can cut, form and fit on location. All guarding products are supplied and fitted with associated steelwork. Change Part Design

TM Plastics has been machining change parts for all industries since the late 1980s. Our success in this area has seen us set up a separate department within the company that deals exclusively with change part design and manufacture. We can offer a same or next day service for emergency breakdowns as well as a standard 3/5 day turnaround for non-emergency items. 

At TM Plastics we specialise in the provision of change parts for the following machine types:

The service we offer is generally faster and a lot less expensive than that offered by OEMs, so make sure you speak to TM Plastics first.
