Flat Head Ribbons

Sirius offers a full range of flat head thermal transfer ribbons for most barcode label printers and thermal transfer coding systems. 

• SW10 Wax Thermal Transfer Ribbons – made with a versatile resin-enhanced wax that enables printing on a diverse range of materials.
• SWR25 Wax-Resin Thermal Transfer Ribbons – an excellent all-round premium wax-resin ribbon for printing dark, crisp images and barcodes on various papers and synthetic materials. 
• SR20 Resin Thermal Transfer Ribbons – one of the most diverse and adaptable resin ribbons of its kind. Offers excellent abrasion and solvent resistance, uses less print energy, and is designed with anti-static and backcoat properties to protect printheads. 

Near Edge Ribbons

Also available is a range of near-edge thermal transfer ribbons for near edge technology printers, including:

• SNWR10 Wax-Resin Thermal Transfer Ribbons – a highly flexible, premium durability ribbon that has been engineered for optimum performance at various energy settings.
• SNWR20 Wax-Resin Thermal Transfer Ribbons – ideal for desktop and industrial thermal transfer printers. Prints dark images at high speeds and low energy settings. 
• SNR10 Resin Thermal Transfer Ribbons – a supremely durable ribbon offering outstanding chemical and solvent resistance. Designed to give maximum print performance when printing on a variety of media. 
• SNR30 Resin Thermal Transfer Ribbons – a high speed near edge resin capable of quality printing at 26 IPS. Ideal for flexible packaging applications demanding even higher levels of durability than offered by SNRW10 ribbons.

Labels

Using our very own in-house flexographic printing equipment, we’re able to offer high quality, low cost printed labels for almost any application. We can also provide a range of plain labels for self-printing – just tell us about the product you’re looking to label and what printer you’re using and we’ll send you a quote based on your needs and application. 

Products offers by Sirius include:

• Plain labels – self-adhesive, thermal transfer or direct thermal labels on a roll. 
• Printed labels – customised according to your needs.
• Colourwashed labels – choose from a range of base inks or your own colour from the pantone range.
• Clear labels – bar-marked.
• Direct thermal labels – for a variety of applications
• Digital labels – for use in Primera LX400 / 800, VP485, Vivo, QLS, Plexo and Zeo printers.

Label Printers

As an approved UK distributor for Carl Valentin GmbH, we’re able to offer an exceptional range of thermal transfer label printers. Models available include:

• Vita – our best-selling barcode label printer, offering a good combination of affordability and performance. Available in 600dpi, 300dpi and 200dpi versions. 
• Micra – a highly popular thermal transfer printer using 25mm core ribbons rather than the more expensive 19mm TLP ribbons. Ideal for home and office use. 
• Pica 2 – offering the same levels of reliability, strength and performance as the old Pica model but with an improved user interface. 
• Compa – suitable for a variety of uses; prints on textiles, cardboard, labels and fabrics. Developed with the automotive industry in mind. 
• Vario – a strong, robust thermal transfer printer with an integrated touch pad for inputting information and data without using a PC. 
• Spectra – an extremely fast thermal transfer printer which uses a 32-bit Risc processor.

Print Engines

We currently offer two print engines for in-line label, ticket and tag printing, both of which are manufactured by the leading European printer specialist Carl Valentin. They are:

• The SPE Print Engine – an exceptional printer with a modular construction that allows it to be used in almost every labelling application. Features an internal dispenser unit as well as an optional label winder and ribbon rewinder.
• The SPX Print Engine – a supremely reliable in-line label printer used in Print & Apply systems, robotic saws and convenience food packaging systems. Offers great barcode and text quality. 

Direct Print Modules

Also available from Carl Valentin are several direct print modules for inline coding on flexible packaging. They include:

• Dynacode – a direct printing system for applications in the food, pharmaceuticals and hardware industries. Predominantly used for marking flexible foil packaging or boxes.
• Dynacode IP – a splash-proof version of the standard Dynacode, ideal for marking hygienic products and for use in production environments where wet cleaning is required. 
• Flexicode – an entry-level system for variable data printing. 
• DPM III xi – a high-resolution direct printing mechanism for installation in cycled packaging machines. Suitable for medical, pharmaceutical and food industry applications.
