Sand Blasting

Our mobile sandblasting services involve the use of a fully pressure controlled, wet or dry cleaning system that removes dirt, grime, paint and many other substances. The sandblasting cleaning process can be used on the following:

• Metals – steel, iron, aluminium (including cast aluminium), copper, brass, bronze. Examples of work include railings, roof trusses, tanks and vessels, RSIs and steels, boats, farm machinery, skips, commercial vehicles and industrial plant. 
• Brick, Stone and Masonry – including flag stones, granite, slate, limestone, sandstone and bricks. Examples of work including building facades, stonework, exterior and interior walls, driveways and patios. 
• Wood – oak, teak and most other hardwoods. Examples of work include wooden beams and garden furniture. 

Painting

To protect surfaces from corrosion or contamination after sandblasting, we offer a number of finishing services, including:

• Spray painting
• Powder coating
• Priming
• Airless spraying
• Lacquering
• Varnishing
• Oiling

All of these services can be carried out onsite within our very own facility. In recent times we have worked on gates and railings, plant and machinery, commercial vehicles, boats, wooden beams, walls and fences, buildings and many other projects across all areas of industry. 

Pressure Washing

Shires Blasting Ltd also offers a fully mobile pressure washing service, which in many cases is a more appropriate cleaning technique than sandblasting. We use top quality diesel or electric pressure washers to carry out a range of cleaning tasks, from removing dirt and grime to getting rid of graffiti and gum. Typical projects include:
