Multi-Sensory Environments

Each multi sensory room that we design at Rhino is unique and designed exclusively for the needs of the individual client. We have a vast range of equipment from you to choose from that can be mixed and matched with other items to create a truly bespoke environment. We have everything you could ever possibly need from mirrors that help with establishing early ideas on reflection, light and perspective to switches that can aid with literacy and numeracy. We also have a range of innovative beds, seating and supports that all meet British Standards and current Fire Regulations.

Multi-Sensory Gardens

Taking the concept of multi sensory outside, Rhino UK can equip you with a completely themed sensory garden area that allows you to utilise easily accessible outdoor play equipment that is suitable for all abilities. Our iChimes and iDrums, are made from 8 tuned aluminium chimes, that makes a soft tone when played. We also stock the iWheel, which when turned makes a similar to rain. We also have another set of iDrums which are three different sized and coloured cymbals mounted to a wooden frame that each make a different noise that contrasts well with our other items.

Hydrotherapy Pool Areas

If you have wet area then Rhino UK can convert it into a stunning sensory experience, with both the sound and light being entirely controlled by the client. We have an extensive choice of lighting options including striking bubble columns, which can be operated by using a control switch. We also have distortion wheels that can be used under water to create different effects. In addition, we can install therapeutic music and ambient sounds to help aid with relaxation. 

Soft Play Areas

Soft play areas are a fantastic way for users to explore and learn by throwing themselves onto the soft play items and being able to express themselves freely. We can design an exclusive soft play area for you or just provide individual soft play items such as ball pools and beanbags in bright, fun colours. All of our items comply with Cigarette, Match and Crib 5 Fire Test BS5852 Parts 1 & 2 and should you require any mirrors for this area they are all made from safety plastic.

Portable Sensory Equipment

For areas where space is limited, Rhino's portable sensory solutions are an ideal option. Already a regular feature in schools, children’s centres and hospitals such as Great Ormond Street, the Sensory Voyager keeps all its equipment securely in place and is easily moved from room to room on four castors. The Sensory Voyager is the perfect height for hospital beds, standard chairs and low level padding and will comfortably fit through standard height doors. The Sensory Voyager has been specially made from materials that are easy to keep clean and sanitary.

Sensory Equipment

Sensory equipment can be purchased individually at Rhino so that you can easily replace old equipment or add new pieces as and when you need them. Most of our equipment is interactive and is designed to help stimulate senses and promote relaxation. Our range of equipment includes Projectors, Glow in the Dark products, Bubble Columns both with and without water as well as Resonance Sating and themed Sensory Tubs. At Rhino we stock every item you could possibly need to provide the ultimate sensory experience. 

Therapeutic Resources

Therapeutic resources can help children learn whilst they play and are a useful inclusion in multi sensory areas as they offer both sensory stimulation as well as therapeutic work. Each of our products will offer children creative play choices and help them develop sensitivity and feeling as well as improving their motor movements. Products such as our Hypercolour Thinking Putty has multiple uses as a toy, stress ball, squeeze toy or as therapy putty and it can be manipulated in to shapes or torn, ripped or cracked offering limitless possibilities.

Community Waiting & Reception Areas

At Rhino UK we can help you ensure that your clients feel relaxed and welcomed from the minute they enter your premises. Our range of products includes bright, cheery 3D posters that will liven up the walls as we well as kids corners, activity cubes and even a road and rail track that will not only help calm and entertain youngsters whilst they wait but will also encourage them to interact and play with other children in the waiting area. Our range of waiting area equipment is versatile and can be adapted and used in rooms of all sizes.
