Drummed Waste Collection

At Red Industries we offer waste collection services for one-off removal of laboratory materials through to regular consignment collections of 205 litre drums and 1000 litre intermediate bulk containers. Our highly experienced team offers unparalleled industry knowledge and a waste collection service that is underpinned by our excellent Special Waste Order Processing System (SWOPS) electronic documentation system. Bulk Waste Collections

Red Industries operated a fleet of rigid and articulated tankers featuring capacity ranges from 2000 gallons to 5500 gallons. These can be deployed to consignments with a range of format options to suit specific requirements. Options include: mild steel construction, stainless steel construction, acid resistance and spark-arrested format (for solvent movement). Our bulk waste collection service is underpinned by our excellent SWOPS electronic documentation system.

Secure Destruction

We also offer services for the secure destruction of products and materials. Our password protected CCTV inspection and destruction processes provide customers with complete confidence in the secure and confidential handling of their consignments. We provide destruction services for a range of items including: cosmetics and toiletries, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, electrical products, tobacco, leisure goods, packaged food products, fashion or high-value items, branded goods, pharmaceutical products and more.

On-Site Laboratory Analysis

At Red Industries we have invested in advanced analytical equipment and highly qualified and experienced chemists who provide accurate and detailed testing services for our clients. These investments enable Red Industries to meet complex industry legislation and understand in greater detail the composition of waste and the behaviour of waste once it is processed and disposed of. Flammable Solids Recycling

Red Industries is passionate about recycling products wherever possible. One of our recycling processes features the recycling of flammable solids into solvent-based fuels for use in cement kilns. The fuel is formed from a range of wastes including the residues of solvent recycling that would otherwise be incinerated.

We also produce fuel from waste organic materials that can’t otherwise be recovered by traditional solvent refining techniques. The organic materials in the fuel are completely destroyed in extremely high temperatures. Benefits include: a net saving in carbon dioxide emissions from the cement industry, a reduction in the consumption of fossil fuels and the recovery of energy from organic wastes.

Electronic Documentation Delivery

We are pleased to use the excellent Special Waste Order Processing System (SWOPS) to achieve the highest standards of service and compliance protection. The SWOPS enables us to meet all the legal requirements of waste movement including the printing of waste transfer and consignment notes. We produce combined job ticket and waste transfer notes featuring legislative details such as UN numbers, proper shipping name, trem card and more. The SWOPS is also used to monitor a range of internal functions such as fleet management and best option disposals.

Chemical Treatment and Synthesis

Red Industries provides effective solutions for treatments of inorganic liquid waste. These treatments include: neutralisation of acidic and alkali materials, de-watering of sludges, chemical oxidation of liquid and solid cyanides, phase separation/ultra filtration of oil/water mixtures, pre-treatment of heavy sludges including consolidation and biological treatment. Contaminated Land Remediation

We also provide a nationwide, specialist land remediation service. Our highly experienced team works closely with clients to reach the most effective solutions. These may include: Bioremediation, Soil washing, Soil stabilisation or Solidification. We also provide remediation of radiologically contaminated sites and offer services including site appraisals, design and build packages. Solvent Processing and Recovery

Red Industries offers a specialist solvent processing and recovery service for organic waste streams. We source used solvents to re-process into high quality recovered solvents ready for re-sale. Aerosols De-packing, Destruction and Recycling

We are also pleased to now offer services for the destruction and disposal of aerosols including the complete recovery and recycling of all components. We use state-of-the-art systems that shred and compact the aerosol cans as well as separating respective products such as: the propellants which are compressed and used as a support fuel, the liquid products that are collected and recycled, blended as a fuel, treated or incinerated, and the aerosol cans that are compacted into scrap metal briquettes and segregated ready for recycling. Our waste management packages feature: the provision of waste storage containers, the collection and transportation of waste aerosols and the safe disposal of aerosols including a range of recycling, recovery and disposal options.

Sorting of Laboratory Smalls

Red Industries strives to provide complete waste management services that are straightforward and effective. Our complete Lab Pack services have been designed and created to provide clients with the safe disposal of aged chemical inventories, unwanted laboratory chemicals and other small quantity wastes.

We offer a site visit to make a full inventory and to classify and segregate unwanted chemicals into compatible groups. These chemicals are then segregated by hazard class, packaged into approved UN shipping containers and accurately labelled.

Site Survey and Consultation

Red Industries offers free appraisals of current waste streams. We examine all areas of waste management systems including: the current waste policy, volumes, projections, problem areas and staff knowledge. From the information found, we then identify optimum solutions for an effective and efficient waste management plan.

Oil recovery / Recycling

We use a specialist fleet of tankers to collect used oils and oil contaminated aqueous mixtures ready for processing at our plant. The oils are dewaters and filtered via a number of physico and chemical processes before being blended to product a recycled fuel oil. We control each part of the oil recovery and recycling process which enables us to provide a consistent service and supply that matches and meets customer requirements.
