Electromagnetics is a complicated subject requiring a
high level of understanding; with us you can benefit from years of application
experience and technical know-how. We help you to navigate the minefield of
electromagnetic issues and ensure your design costs are kept to an absolute minimum.
Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) is often seen as a
test discipline. This is incorrect: it is a design discipline, and as such
should be considered right from the very beginning of any product development
project. By ensuring compatibility at an early stage, you significantly reduce
the risk of costly remedial work later on.
That’s where Peak Electromagnetics can help. We provide
expert design advice based on decades of experience so that you can take a
product from concept through to testing with full confidence in its electromagnetic
compatibility. With us at your side, you can save money and reduce your
time-to-market.
As well as design consultancy services, Peak
Electromagnetics can also make arrangements for product trials and testing. In
fact, we can handle everything from EMC testing to CE compliance, risk
assessments, RFI studies and effects analysis. Close working relationships with
a number of approved test facilities and equipment hire companies enable us to
get your product through the testing stages quickly and cost-effectively.

About Us Peak Electromagnetics Ltd is run by a number of qualified
engineers with many years’ experience in electromagnetic design and
compatibility. Chief among them is Ian Pocock, our principle consultant. Ian is
a Chartered Engineer and a member of the Institution of Engineering Technology,
as well as the Energy Institute. He has been working in the field of radio,
telecommunications and electromagnetics for more than 20 years, and has been
involved in the UKAS accreditation of three test facilities. Ian recently
managed the EMC/RadHaz Group at Thales Missile Electronics, and is well
recognised in the defence EMC and radio hazard community.
Our associate consultant, Chris Adler (CEng MIET), is an
experienced design leader and project manager with particular expertise in the
design and development of RF sensor systems for MoD aircraft and missile platforms
operating in extremely harsh EMC and RFI environments. His RF system experience
covers the spectrum 0.5 to 100GHz. Chris is very well placed to comment and
advise on good design practice for EMC and RFI protection.
Drawing upon the experience of its principle and
associate consultants, Peak Electromagnetics Ltd can consult on a wide variety
of EMC and EMC-related topics, some of which can be found in the sections
below.
