Littlemore Scientific Engineering, based in Dorset, has been in the research equipment manufacturing business since the 1950s when we were established and built devices for the University of Oxford. Littlemore has also produced a range of specialised machines and instruments – screen printing equipment, magnetic observatories, wheelchairs for polio patients, archaeological dating equipment, and airship components. And today we design and manufacture scientific instruments that demand expertise and experience in mechanical and electronic engineering. Please contact us for details.
We produce a range of environmental monitors for measuring visible light, ultraviolet light, temperature, humidity, and other environmental parameters. Our range of devices can include data logging capacity for each environmental parameter, data storage, USB Flash drive support, transfer of data to a computer, and free data viewing software. Please visit our website for details.
We produce a range of Universal Light Metres to measure infrared heat radiation, visible light, ultraviolet light, temperature, and other environmental parameters. Please visit our website for details.
The Littlemore 7650 UV & Light Monitor has been designed to provide accurate readings of visible and UV light levels.
There are two options to choose from; a standard model and the 7650C, which includes the added facility to log and store more than 70,000 readings, without the need for additional software. Simply connect the internal USB Flash disc to your computer and you will be able to view the data with your existing spreadsheet software.
Our Humidity Test Kit has been designed for use with Littlemore’s 765 and 765C environmental monitors as well as the now obsolete 764 and 764C. This handy kit contains all you need to check the accuracy of the RH sensor within your 765 or 765C unit, including two test chambers, purified water and two containers of RH standard chemicals which will allow you to test relative humidity at 22% and 75% respectively. For the 764 and 764C it allows the user to recalibrate the device to retain accuracy.
Littlemore recommends that your environmental monitors are recalibrated regularly. We suggest this takes place every two years in order to maintain the effectiveness of the device and ensure you continue to obtain the most accurate readings possible. A recalibration can be ordered through our website for models 765, 7650 or 775, after which you simply need to send your device/s to us, along with a copy of your order acknowledgement, and we will take care of the rest.
