Freight Forward International Ltd

Freight Forward International commenced trading in the UK during 1990 and during our short but exciting history it has made its mark. In the early years it established itself in the Scandinavian and European groupage markets. Today the company can boast two UK offices offering groupage part and full load services to most destinations including dedicated express trucks. Warehousing and distribution has become a very important feature and compliments the forwarding services that truly offer clients a complete service.

Warehousing

Warehouses operated in the north and south of England amount to around 30000 sqft of secure and under cover premises. Specialist equipment allows the facilities to be used for all types of cargoes including plastic and steel drums reels of paper and carpets. Transhipment cargoes are handled carefully and efficiently by side loading or by mobile ramp. Transit short and long-term storage pick and pack operations are handled

Stock Control

All cargo of national or international origin or despatch is controlled in and out of our warehouse by way of a stock control system. More recently we introduced a computerised stock control system that allows selected clients to access our system 24 hours a day to compare records. This stock control system also allows automatic billing.

Heated Storage

Unlike many forwarders Freight Forward International has always operated its own warehouse. Development of this base has increased the overall different businesses that now include specialised warehousing. Since 1997 we have operated a heated warehouse to satisfy a requirement from an existing client. This is a 24 hour seven day operation and latest technology has been introduced to maintain the correct temperature and control of the environment.

Pick & Pack

A new feature ventured into in the last couple of years has been the ability to co-ordinate a pick and pack operation on behalf of our clients. For those clients wishing to hold a stock of items at our premises we are able to act quickly to prepare and pack orders at short notice for distribution by ourselves or hauliers operating under the direct control of the customer. As part of the overall service we supply cartons banding and shrink wrapping if required.
