Products

flex7 lighting connection & control range is a fully modular system. Our products are both designed and manufactured in the United Kingdom. We have a huge range of lighting controls available - from simple on/off to daylight dimming. Our connection boxes are 7-pole and rated at 16A.

Each connection box comes with a spare socket on the end. This means that extra outlets can be added by simply plugging an extra box into this socket. You can add more outlets to a circuit by plugging in an Extender unit. Alternatively, to simply take the power from the current box, but create a new circuit, use a Tap-off unit.

Visit our website where you can not only see our vast array of products, find out more about our services, and see testimonials, but also download or order copies of our catalogue, price lists and software. Should you have any questions about any of our products and services please feel free to contact us and we’ll be happy to help you in any way that we can. We look forward to hearing from you.

3, 4 & 7-Pole Single Socket Outlets

Available in 3- and 4-pole for applications requiring standard or emergency lighting connection and 7-pole where additional connections may be required, for example ‘dimming’; single socket outlets, which complement the eZeBox range of connection units, are ideal where only one outlet is required. Using the 2 captive M4 screws, sockets can be mounted directly to round conduit boxes. If fitting to trunking, cable basket or tray, order the trunking mount version instead.

Easily accommodated under a spacious cover, the conductors don’t need to be forced back into the conduit box; unlike similar products. Give us a call if you need any more information.

3, 4, 5 & 6-Core Double Extender Leads

With an additional socket fitted at right angles to the existing inline socket, double extender leads are quite similar in design to the single extender version. Where you require a specification calling for a means of disconnection close to the luminaires; where luminaires are sited in rows such as in corridors or open plan offices, this solution is particularly useful. The double extender set up is unusual in that disconnection of a luminaire doesn’t require disconnection of power to the rest of the circuit. Potential for faults occurring due to bad connections are also halved; visit our website to find out why!

Flush Panel Mount Sockets (3, 4 & 7-Pole)

The panel mount snaps into a rectangular hole in materials from 0.5mm to 1.5mm thick due to being designed with a minimal thickness front plate and a strong snap fixing. Panel mount sockets enable the flex7 interface to be added to luminaires or other equipment and are available in 3-, 4- and 7-pole versions. Panel mounts come supplied with screw terminals.

Take a look at our website for diagrammatical representations of each of the various types of flush panel mount sockets and their individual set ups. If you have any questions just contact us and we’ll be happy to help.

The flex7 eZeBox

Without much call for a screwdriver, virtually any lighting connection and control requirement can be easily and quickly realised with only a handful of off-the-shelf products when combining them with the enormous flexibility of the flex7 eZeBox range! The culmination of two years of intensive research, design and development, the flex7 eZeBox brings simple plug together distribution of lighting power and control. This range is quite simply unrivalled and has been produced as a result of listening to our customers’ needs, observations, compliments and criticisms alike! Visit our website today to see our questions and answers on this amazing device.

Expansion Leads

Particularly ideal for the distribution of intelligent control from a central source, expansion leads also offer the perfect opportunity for expansion units to become part of an interconnection system radiating from a hub unit. You may wish to keep all the luminaire leads short along a corridor by using more than one unit linked together via expansion leads. Take a look at diagrams of similar setups by visiting our website, where you will also find more on the technical specifications and appropriate uses of the varying cores. Should you have any queries just give us a call and we’ll be happy to help.

Hub Units

Why not choose a hub unit to feed up to six separate runs of interconnected eZeBox units to achieve further savings in installation time and to maximise flexibility? All housed in one single enclosure, a hub unit can be considered as six single socket outlets, allowing the installer to consolidate the supply wiring to just one multi-core from the lighting distribution board. This brings with it the added benefit that terminating the supplies can now be carried out in just one place! For more information on our hub units either visit our website or contact us directly. Hub units are only supplied unwired.

Series 1000 (Non-dimming) Universal Sensor – Kits

Universal sensor kits come available with or without daylight dependency. Adding a switch drop to an occupancy sensor kit provides another level of control and also brings with it the option to configure the sensor as either occupancy (requiring a one way latched switch) or absence (requiring a one way retractive switch) - either option configured simply by the choice of switch and the way it is terminated. Visit our website to see diagrams on the set ups. Please refer to the section on occupancy sensor kits on our website, for details relating to detection range, use of slave heads or remote controls.

Control Plus Timer Management Unit

During pre-set time periods of the day, the ftm100 timer unit is designed to hold lights controlled by the control plus sensors ON. The sort of installation where you would see this kind of control would be those affecting corridors and circulation areas - where lights would typically be held ON during normal working hours and be allowed to revert to occupancy control at all other times. In the case of multiple areas requiring control by the same timer unit, to avoid occupancy being mutually shared an ftm8 zone splitter is available which can provide feeds for up to 8 different zones!
