Telescopic Guards, Swarf Conveyors and Waywipers

Bellow Covers

Most bellows are made from a complete section of material, which is thermally bonded to help protect against the entry of emulsions and lubricants. We provide covers for both standard and laminate types of bellows, with the default choice for both these categories being polyester combined with a coat of polyurethane. However, DQR Precision also offer the option of additional fabrics appropriate for more specialised applications. If you're operating at extreme heat, such as when using welding or laser machinery, Kevlar/Aramid might be a better choice, while for grinding processes we’d recommend one of our Teflon-coated types.

Bellows and Protective Lamellas

Should you require an additional level of protection against possible injuries from swarf (whether due to jagged edges or high temperature), then you’ll be tempted by this useful selection of samurai bellows. Hema first came up with these innovative products during the 1980s, by fusing the best features of the standard bellow with stainless steel lamellas. We offer three different models: the Fastaf, which has fixed lamellas and can be applied both vertically and horizontally; the Fastam, for vertical usage and with flexible lamellas; and the Fastlap, which is fitted with a basic guiding system and is solely for vertical applications.

Ballscrew Covers

To ward off damage from swarf or to prevent contamination of your equipment, consider our inexpensive and easy-to-use ballscrew (also known as ‘duraspring’) spiral covers. Made from  a compressed stainless steel or blue spring steel strip, durasprings can be used in either vertical or horizontal mode. The range of internal diameters available spans between 15 and 160mm, while you can get extensions for lengths to a maximum of 4,500mm for vertical applications (a bit less for horizontal use due to safety reasons). Please note that you’ll need to fit a basic centring flange at either end of the duraspring before use.

Roller and Apron Covers

Sometimes space in your workshop or machining area might be tight, meaning that bellow covers aren’t really viable. When that’s the case, roller covers will come to your rescue! We have lots of fabric band or steel covers from Hema GmbH to choose from. Steel band covers usually come with a security casing, flange mountings and a fitted stainless steel wiper strip. For fabric band covers, a full-length torsion spring aids operation, while mounting brackets are an optional extra. Visiport Spin Windows

Keep an eye on what’s happening inside your operational machine with a Visiport Spin Window. They’re suitable for all types of new machine enclosures, either glass or polycarbonate, and their powerful electrical motors can deal with the most rigorous conditions. Enhanced drainage capabilities enable them to handle high levels of coolant, while their mounting plates make installation in the machine’s cabinet completely straightforward. Spin Windows’ DC motors are brushless and have a minimum power supply need of five amps. All connection cavities are fully sealed and have exit ports in three different locations, and the Windows’ terminal boxes have easy-to-flip toggle switches.

Machine Tool Safety Windows

Safety windows are an essential feature in safeguarding machine-tool operators against injury from loose parts. SicurTec offer an array of polycarbonate windows compliant with impact-resistance regulations EN 12415 and EN 12417 for turning machines and machining centres. All windows have been treated to prevent degradation and ageing of the polycarbonate, thus maintaining visibility in the long term and extending their functional life-spans. There is tempered glass on each window’s machine-facing side, while windows are completely sealed around the edge with sealants non-inimical to polycarbonates.
