Manufactured with solid U shaped hold down bars, our horizontal hold down clamps have various mounting options. For fast food, chemical processing and other demanding industries we have horizontal hold-down clamps in durable stainless steel. Some of the models have the  added safety feature of the DE-STA-CO® Toggle Lock Plus®, which helps prevent the clamp opening unintentionally by adding a secondary lock that makes sure the over-centre locking condition is maintained, in additions some DE-STA-CO® Toggle Lock Plus® models will also lock the clamp in the open position.

Vertical Hold Down Clamps

Featuring a vertical handle the DE-STA-CO Vertical Hold-Down Clamps are capable of holding up to 5,000lbf [22,25kN]. With a minimum 90° opening angle, the hold-down bar or clamping bar is easy to load and unload. The hold-down clamp can be solid or U shaped and has a straight base on the B version or is flange mounted in the standard version. Available in stainless steel, many models also come with our innovative DE-STA-CO® Toggle Lock Plus® for added safety and to prevent the clamp from unintentionally opening or some models can lock the clamp in the opening position.

Pull Action Latch Clamps

3.The handle on the DE-STA-CO Pull-Action Latch Clamps can be placed so that the clamping pull bar (hook) is around the opposing latch and can be pushed down into the lock position. Our latch clamps are strong and robust and provide a durable closing force, making them perfect for sealing chamber doors, mould closures, and access doors. The clamps come in three styles; fixed latch type, U-hook type (horizontal and vertical) and J-hook type and in capacities of up to up to 7,500lbf. [33,4kN], for added adjustment we provide threaded "hook" or "U-bolt" type bars. We stock a number of models in stainless steel and many have the added safety feature of our DE-STA-CO® Toggle Lock Plus® the ensure that the lock doesn’t open unintentionally as well as other models that can lock the clamp in the opening position.

Squeeze Action Clamps

DE-STA-CO Squeeze Action Clamps lock automatically when closing by squeezing one or both of the handles against the central position. The clamps, also known as portable, or plier clamps, have drop-forged steel jaws on most models and many come with 1 or 2 adjustable spindles. We heat treat the alloy steel on our forged models and they are machined to close tolerances. The medium and heavy duty squeeze action clamps have an easy one hand opening system on most models thanks to the DE-STA-CO trigger release system and they provide fasts and flexible clamping.

Compliance Devices Robotic Tooling

For robotic tooling alignment equipment, Robohand Compliance Devices can be inserted into applications that have parts which are ether misaligned or skewed, alternatively they can be used to reduce jamming of mating parts by balancing the inaccurately placed part. Robohand Compliance Devices available are in three types that compensate for different things; for horizontal misalignment there is the Cylindrical Horizontal Compliance Device, where lateral misalignment is a problem use the Lateral Compliance Device and the Compliance Wrist is compliant in torsion, bending and lateral direction. We recommend using the lateral and cylindrical devices on the vertical axis only.

Robotic Tooling Safety Mounts

Our Robohand Safety Mounts are an essential piece of equipment that protect the parts, fixtures and entire assembly machine from becoming overloaded. Mounted between the robot and the fixture, the robotic tooling safety mounts works by detaching the robot before it surpasses its design limitations. Robohand Safety Mounts react to compression, bending or torsional overloads. Additionally, should de-coupling occur, the robot will be signalled to stop via a switch. The Robohand safety mounts are available in many different styles and there is a model that features a patented mechanism, which will help to reset the tooling in the event of an overload or collision.

Telemanipulators

Typically used in operations that require dexterous manipulations, and often in high radiation or hazardous environments, Telemanipulators, can be used to by human operators as an extension of their own capabilities. The hand movements of the human operator are identical to those of the machine and are replicated in 1 to 1 ratio. Despite the exact precision of the robot, there is very little effort required as there is careful counterbalancing and a reduction in mass, friction and lost motion. Hardly any force is required to instigate the process and the motion is easily sustained in both horizontal and vertical directions.

Waste Drum Transfer Systems

For safe and repeatable waste transfer, CRL developed the Waste Drum Transfer System (WDTS). The waste removal process for hot-cell banks and waste generating gloveboxes can be automated by using the WDTS and the operator is no longer exposed to harmful waste and contamination. The WDTS is easy to operate and maintain, and there is never any need to enter the cell part to undertake repairs as all parts that will ever need to be serviced are located on the cold side of the system. The WDTS is a cost and space effective solution to waste problems, it will maximum your waste storage space and reduce the need for added the personnel necessary to deal with harmful substances.
