Food Additives (Acidulants)

As the term might suggest, acidulants give food a sharp taste and many natural foods, such as fruits, cheese and yoghourts, contain natural acids.  Acidulants also help gels to set and are useful in preserving foods.  It is often necessary to add acidulants to processed food to give it a desired tang and/or to offer defence against many micro-organisms.  The process of adding acids to food has gone on for centuries and the need for these acids has increased as the processed food industry has grown.  We offer a wide range of citrates, sweeteners, preservatives, phosphates, emulsifiers and humectants to producers of processed food.  Have a look on our website for more products, or send us an email for more information.
