Description

Exeter City Council are tendering for a contractor to design, procure, and install a newly equipped, enclosed play area at Pinhoe Station Road Playing Field. The current provision is in poor condition, poorly positioned and offers limited play value.

There is a total budget of £100,000 + VAT currently available. Further funding of £50,000 may be available from future funding streams.

Tenderers are required to submit three outline designs, showing proposed equipment and play area layout. The successful contractor will be expected to undertake community-based consultation. The outcomes of the consultation should be utilised, with evidence, to finalise the preferred design option.

The key objectives of the Tender are:

• To appoint a Contractor to work with Exeter City Council to develop and deliver a new enclosed play area at Pinhoe Station Road Playing Field.

• Utilise all of the available funding to ensure the community receive a fit for purpose, suitable new play area.

• Community engagement through successful community consultation undertaken by the Contractor.
