As part of its management responsibilities for the housing stock and public buildings, the Council provides a number of stored cold water related services including the cleaning and chlorination of stored water supplies, cold water tank replacements, associated pipe work and insulation replacements and all works associated with remedial works emanating from the borough wide legionella risk assessment program. The Council subcontracts these services to organisations with appropriate skills and experience, resources and business systems. The organisations must also be financially sound.
The Council intends to award a new contract for Water Quality maintenance Services in the spring of 2019 and invites organisations with the necessary capabilities to tender. The new contract will include for some elements of plumbing, tank replacements, tank relining/ painting, associated carpentry works and water testing
The proposed contract will be based upon the National Housing Maintenance Forum M3NHF Schedule of Rates version 7 including its long descriptions, the specifications of workmanship and materials and the relevant SOR rates for each element of the required services. There are also a number of LBH specific rates which relates to systems within the borough - Pricing Summary Sheet Tab B. The rates are to include for all preliminaries, overheads and profits. As part of their tender submission, contractors are required to tender a percentage adjustment to Tab A - NHF V7 and Tab B - LBH specific rates and also provide Day work Labour rates in section 1.2 of Tab A.
