Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council (The Council) has a small but slowly increasing number of young people placed within independent residential provision, but only around a quarter of these are currently placed within Barnsley. The Council aims to explore a range of options around delivery models to enable a greater level of engagement with both adult and young carers in the Borough and provision of more extensive support services.
