Description

Wolverhampton City Council have secured ERDF funding to undertake meadow establishment and path works on land at the Smestow Valley Local Nature Reserve and the site of the former Wolverhampton Environment Centre off Castlecroft Drive, Wolverhampton.

The actual works comprise site clearance, tree felling and surgery, scrub clearance, soil grading, tree, shrub, bulb and tuber planting, wildflower seeding, the construction of paths, fencing, the installation of barriers and a stand pipe, with a 12 months defects period.

The proposed contract for the works is the JCLI Landscape Works Contract 2017 (JCLI LWC 2017) and any tenderers are assumed to be familiar and have experience of this form of contract.

It is the intention of Wolverhampton City Council to award the contract for these works to a single contractor who shall take sole responsibility for delivery.
