Description

The Council are seeking a suitably qualified landscaper to carry out grass cutting works at the following three Closed Churchyards:

• All Saints, West Wickham Road, Horseheath, Cambridgeshire, CB21 4Q

• The Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin, 12 Church St, Great Shelford, Cambridge CB22 5EL

• St. Mary and All Saints Church, Church St, Willingham, Cambridge CB24 5HS

We are offering a contract to run for a three year period (2022 to 2025 inclusive) and will award payment upon completion of each cut.

The three closed churchyards are the maintenance responsibility of South Cambridgeshire District Council (SCDC) and are required to be cut according to the following terms:

• That 12 cuts shall be undertaken throughout the year at All Saints, Horseheath. This equates to 3-week intervals for the period 1st March to 31st October in each year.

• That 12 cuts shall be undertaken throughout the year at St. Mary and All Saints Church, Willingham. This equates to 3-week intervals from 1st March to 31st October in each year.

• That 12 cuts shall be undertaken throughout the year at The Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin, Great Shelford. This equates to 3-week intervals from 1st March to 31st October in each year.

• That the price of the cuts shall be fixed until the end of 2025.

• Grass cuttings can be left on the ground.

• Strimming works to be undertaken per visit around gravestones and monuments excluding the perimeter of church buildings and boundary walls.
