Description

The London Borough of Barnet is seeking to commission a design team to engage, design, commission and deliver several bespoke public parklets that will be installed in key locations across 3 of the Borough's main town centres. These parklets will transform kerbside parking spaces into places to rest, relax and admire the surrounding high street area.

The aim of this project is to showcase the potential of kerbside parking spaces to offer places to gather, improve health and wellbeing and increase greenery in town centres. These parklets are intended to be pieces of high street furniture, providing aesthetic enhancements to the overall streetscape and showcasing the potential of high streets as an urban park for pedestrians.
