Phoenix Yacht Club Ltd

Phoenix Yacht Club (PYC) owns two yachts which are moored at Haslar Marina in Gosport. The club is totally owned and run by volunteer members. No profit is made so all income is used to maintain the boats, pay mooring fees etc. and save up to replace each yacht.

The club has two different styles of yacht, Quartette a Westerly Oceanquest 35 which is comfortable and easy to handle and she is used for most of our training. RelaX of Phoenix is an X-40 and she is lighter and faster to sail and she is used for most of our racing.

Both yachts are used for cruising both locally in the Solent and also much further afield.

In the past few years we have sailed in the Baltic, northern coasts of France, Belgium and Netherlands, around Britain, Irish Sea and Scotland, West Country, Ireland and the south Brittany coast. In 2021 we are exploring the West Country and East Coast of England.

To sail you must join as a member and book sailing by the day and berth with one of our well-qualified skippers. Costs for joining and sailing fees can be seen on the web-site.
