The Klargester Biotec is one of the most popular sewage treatment systems in the UK. The system uses an aerobic biological process to treat wastewater, which means that it has no moving parts. Without mechanical or electrical components, Biotec systems are far less likely to suffer from operating problems.
Other benefits include below-ground installation, discreet covers, quiet operation, low running costs and an extremely low maintenance requirement. The Klargester Biotec sewage treatment system discharges into a watercourse or a designed infiltration system. Find out more by visiting Owls Hall online.
The PHORS Tank is a specialist Phosphate Removal System capable of reducing phosphate levels to 2mg/l in most typical applications. While many treatment plants are effective in breaking down the main pollutants (OD, suspended solids and ammonia), most of them do not have the ability to reduce the level of phosphates, a potentially harmful element commonly found in detergents and human waste. That’s why Phosphate Removal Systems are becoming increasingly popular throughout the UK.
The PHORS Tank caters for up to 150 people and may be customised according to the specific requirements of the location.
We supply and install a range of WPL sewage treatment plants, from compact package plants to large-scale modular sewage treatment systems. Our innovative “off-the-shelf” package plants offer eco-friendly, legislation-compliant sewage treatment solutions that are simple to install, easy to live with and economical to maintain. We can also offer bespoke WPL solutions which are tailored to your application requirements.
HiPAF compact sewage treatment systems combine versatility, efficiency, reliability, strength and robustness, meeting all Environment Agency standards whilst creating minimal visual impact on the landscape. More than 1,400 HiPAF units have been installed throughout the UK and beyond, making it one of the most popular systems of its kind. In fact, the HiPAF is regularly specified by the likes of United Utilities, Yorkshire Water, Anglian Water and Southern Water as the standard SAF sewage treatment system for first-time sewerage schemes and upgrades to rural works. It is also the preferred choice for many domestic and commercial applications that are not connected to mains drainage.
The HiPAF system provides treatment for Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD), Suspended Solids (SS) and ammonia (NH4) in wastewater applications for populations of up to 60 people.
Owls Hall can offer a range of Klargester package pump systems for both residential and commercial developments. These are typically needed where foul drainage by gravity alone is not possible. Pump stations include:
All pump stations supplied by Owls Hall feature high level alarms, pre-set automatic level controls and non-return valves. A number optional extras are also available.
We offer a full installation and commissioning service for all pumping equipment. Find out more by visiting the Installation section on the Owls Hall website.
We are also able to supply a range of high capacity pumping systems, which are mainly (but not exclusively) used for commercial applications. They are typically found in large housing developments (10-500 houses), commercial and industrial developments, hotels and restaurants, caravan and camping sites.
Pumpstor24 high capacity pumping stations feature high level alarms, multiple valve chamber location and invert options, weir cover screens that prevent solids passing into the main storage chamber, plus a unique weir screen cleaning facility that removes the need to access the chamber during maintenance. For more features and benefits, please visit Owls Hall online.
We offer a number of alarms systems which are compatible with a range of Klargester and Entec products. These provide a safeguard against a host of potential problems, many of which can be extremely expensive to rectify. There are four main types of alarm available:
Fats, oils and greases discharged into public sewers are thought to be responsible for around 75% of the 200,000+ drain blockages that occur in the UK every year. Such blockages are expensive for local authorities to deal with, yet they can be so easily avoided. Much of the fat, oil and grease that enters public sewers comes from restaurants and food service kitchens, whose sinks and dishwashers are regularly used to dispose of wastewater which contains a high amount of grease/oil.
Grease Guardian® is an innovative grease removal unit the stops the problem at its source, automatically trapping and removing over 95% of grease from wastewater. It can be installed within most commercial kitchens, or if space is limited in a basement or adjacent room. Find out more about this environmentally friendly grease management solution at Owls Hall online.
Grease Guzzler is another environmentally friendly grease management solution designed for the commercial food service and catering market. This innovative, self-contained system uses patented bio-technology to ensure efficient and effective drain cleansing with minimal environmental impact. Its compact, aesthetic design saves space and complements the units found in most commercial kitchens. The Grease Guzzler is designed on the principle of “fit and forget” – a self-contained, fully automated set-up ensures no daily maintenance is required. Principal benefits include:
As more and more river valleys are developed with hard surfaces (paths, roads, etc.), the volume of rainwater that runs off the land continues to increase. This has had and will continue to have a severe effect on watercourses, where flash floods can occur downstream because of the increased run-off upstream. Global warming, which has increased the amount of rain that falls over the British Isles, has only accentuated the problem.
In response, towns, cities and developments have been looking for ways to reduce the quantity of water run-off from their sites, and have found attenuation systems and separators to be the most effective in doing so. Attenuation systems can store large amounts of excess water which then can be discharged at a suitable rate after the storm has passed. Find out more by visiting Owls Hall online.
The Klargester Envireau has been shown to reduce water bills by up to 55%. By adding a UV filtration unit to the system, the water collected can also be made potable, thereby reducing water bills a further 35%. Within just 3 years, the Envireau rainwater harvesting system will have practically paid for itself.
Tanks can be delivered at short notice to destinations throughout the UK. As well as sewage, our tanks can be used to hold oil, grease or rainwater. Also available for hire are a range of self-contained mobile storage facilities – find out more by visiting Owls Hall online.
Regular servicing of your wastewater management systems is essential for ensuring efficient operation and reducing the chances of a pollution incident. Our engineers are able to service all makes of effluent treatment and sewage systems, whether they are on a domestic or commercial scale.
All services are carried out according to British Water and manufacturer guidelines. Our vehicles carry a comprehensive inventory of spares, including filters, pumps, bearings, blowers, lubricants and all other hardware required for servicing modern sewage treatment plant.
Routine maintenance is essential if you are to maximise performance and prolong the life of your sewage treatment plant or pumping station. However, even plants that are well-maintained will wear out eventually. Sometimes it is just a few parts that need replacing; at others, you might need an entire refurb.
Owls Hall can provide both. We have a vast amount of experience in system maintenance, repairs and refurbishment, and can provide highly economical solutions for extending the service life of your systems. For more details, please visit Owls Hall online or contact us directly on 0845 375 1801.
