Roofing Sheet Profiles

We stock a range of standard roof sheet profiles which come in a variety of thicknesses to suit your requirements and include both profile and corrugated options.  All sheets are available in assorted colours, finishes and thicknesses.

Full information on our range, including details on sizes, shape and weight, can be found on our website, along with details of the permissible wind uplifts and downward loads.

Wall Cladding Profiles

Our wall cladding profiles are also available in a range of thicknesses, finishes and colours and include both profile and corrugated options.

Full information on our range, including details on sizes, shape and weight, can be found on our website, along with details of the permissible wind pressure and wind suction loads.

Liner Profiles

Our lining panels are available in lengths of up to 6000mm and come with a bright white interior enamel lining as standard. Span capabilities of the panels are dependent on the intended insulation weight, however double spanning capabilities of up to 2 meters can be achieved in normal situations.

The liner panels are suitable for use with our roof and wall panels, insulation and spacers to create a double skin cladding system and can also be adapted to increase acoustic absorbency, which can be particularly useful in noisy factories and public buildings.

Composite Cladding Systems

For situations where high performance insulated roofing and wall cladding is paramount our through-fixed composite insulated panels provide an outstanding solution.  An innovative HCFC-free insulation core within our KS1000RW Trapezoidal Ecosafe Insulated Roof Panel combines optimal thermal performance, strength and durability. Installation is very quick and the product has been designed with ever increasing building performance standards in mind resulting in a very cost effective solution.

It’s certainly a product to be trusted, providing safety and performance, as it complies with the rigorous requirements of CDM, HSE Fragility Tests and Part L amendments.

Built Up Cladding

For optimum thermal efficiency the use of a built up insulation system is often recommended.  This is achieved by using either an Ashgrid Safe-Loc bar system or mini zed purlin to secure an insulant, such as fibreglass or universal wool, between the top sheet and the liner.  The Ashgrid system is better able to accommodate the required insulation thickness needed to meet current ‘U’ values.  Application of vapour barriers and breather membranes may be required in instances of high humidity.  Please see our website for further details and example images of built up systems.

GRP Rooflights and Fillers

Our GRP Rooflights are designed to match North West Sheeting Supplies’ range of profile sheets, but we can also match to other profiles. Also known as skylights, they are manufactured from glass fibre reinforced polyester and offer U.V. inhibitors and fire retardant properties.  They provide a colourless appearance that allows natural light to enter the building.  We offer various grades and weights that comply with relevant parts of BS 476.

Profile filler blocks are common place in modern buildings and seal the cavities between profiled sheets and flashings/purlins.  They exhibit excellent heat retention properties, are no porous and provide durability.

Please contact us for further details of our rooflight and filler ranges.

Roof Flashing and Roof Trims

Not only are our flashings and trims versatile but they offer the opportunity to enhance a building aesthetically.   North West Sheeting Supplies stock a range of flashings and trims including Ridge, Verge, Drip, Eaves and Gutters and we can also make them to your individual requirements.  For a professional and rigid finish we are able to apply welted/safe edges to all our roof flashings.

If you would like quote, please send us a sketch, including all angles and dimensions.  Examples of sketches can be found on the flashings and trims section of our website.

Zed Purlins

North West Sheeting’s Zed Purlins are manufactured to BS EN 10147.1992 specifications using prime pre-galvanised steel coil and provide guaranteed minimum yield strengths of 350 N/mm2.  We cut the purlins to your exact length specifications and package them suitably for transit.

On our website you will find a table containing all the dimensional information including depth, thickness, top and bottom flange, top and bottom lip.

Please contact us for details of C section purlins, which we are also able to supply

Roofing and Cladding Fixings & Fasteners

At North West Sheeting, we stock a full range of fixings and fastenings for roofing and cladding, including: carbon steel fixings, stainless steel fixings, fixings to cold rolled steel, fixings to hot rolled steel, fixings to timber, stick pins, profile fillers, push on caps and washers, pipe flashings, isolating barrier tapes, expanding foam tapes, moulded colour coded heads, butyl mastic sealant.

We would be delighted to advise you on the correct fixings for your project.

Coatings

North West Sheeting Supplies offer several different coating options.  Plastisol is widely used in the roofing and cladding industries and offers superior performance.  Available in a range of colours, it delivers up to 40 years life expectancy.

Developed to offer a medium term, economic solution, Silicone polyester is suitable for worldwide use and provides 5-7 years cover before first maintenance.

Lining enamel is a bright white coating for internal use that has been developed to provide a durable finish with outstanding light reflective qualities.

We are also pleased to accommodate requests for specific brands of colour coated steel, such as Corus LG, Corus Prisma or Corus HPS200/Ultra, but we ask that you advise us at quotation stage as there will be cost differences.

Anti Condensation Roofing

For humid environments our “FFM non drip” anti condensation roof sheet provides an excellent solution.  Manufactured from a pre-painted, galvanised profile sheet, this product has a woven fabric heat coating on the underside to regulate condensation.  This fabric captures water droplets that evaporate when air temperature rises.

It provides excellent corrosion resistance with four barriers separating the humid air from the steel: zinc, chemical treatment, primer and adhesive.  Tests using salt spray resulted in identical fabric adherence 1000 hours later. To prevent unwanted water permeation, a varnish needs to be applied to the end of the overlaps and gutter ends on site.

FFM Non Drip is only available in our NWSSR32 Roof Profile.

Care and Handling

Your finished building project will be reflective of the care and handling that has been applied to the steel roof and wall cladding sheets that we supply.  Our website details the most common problems that occur on site and illustrates how sheets should be lifted, cut, handled, stored and drilled to lessen the likelihood of scratching, scuffing, damage, corrosion and distortion.

Laying and Fixing Procedures

On our website you will find full details of the recommended laying and fixing procedures.  This includes illustrations on sheet laying sequence in relation to prevailing winds, the correct tightening torque for fixings in order to achieve ultimate sealing and holding, and the correct use of side laps and end laps dependent upon roof pitches and exposure.  There is also guidance for on-site cutting of profile sheets.

Steel Roofing and Cladding for Agricultural Buildings

We have over 22 year’s experience of supplying roofing and wall cladding sheets to the agricultural market and are well equipped to provide solutions for the unique nature of agricultural buildings.  We take into account factors such as ventilation and insulation requirements, building change of use and are equipped to supply suitable products for old barn structures.

Contact us with your agricultural building challenges and we’ll help you find a solution.

Steel Roofing and Cladding for Industrial Buildings

Regulations for thermal efficiencies and increasing energy costs mean companies are looking for solutions that will provide cost efficiencies not only for the present day but also well into the future.  We only offer top quality products produced by the most prominent companies in the cladding a roofing arena, so you can rest assured knowing that they will stand the test of time.

Steel Roofing and Cladding for Building Refurbishment

Re-cladding and over cladding can give tired looking buildings an aesthetic overhaul and make marked improvements to thermal efficiencies, leading to long-term cost savings.  As long as the building structure in question has the capabilities to support over cladding, then this is often the preferred option as normal business operation can continue with minimal interference.  Over cladding can be carried out on fibre cement, blockwork, brickwork and existing steel profiles.

For over cladding on porous surfaces, a sealed vapour barrier will be utilised prior to insulation materials being put in place.
