MJ services are specialists in the design, manufacturing and supplying of blast rooms, specialist surface preparation and coating equipment. There philosophy that the needs of each client are different has driven them to design a range of high quality, flexible equipment that will serve the needs of its users.
Blast rooms are
contained spaces in which workers may carry out grit blasting, shot blasting,
sand and soda blasting. Apart from the containment structure itself they
contain a abrasive blasting structure - used to smooth out rough services - as
well as a dust collector which will contain all the residue from the blasting
process. While MJS provide a range of blast rooms the most common
containment structure is a modified ISO 6 meter shipping crate, and they have
found that the most effective and economical collecting system is a mechanical
belt and bucket system. These blast rooms can be provided though out the UK and
abroad and can be modified to meet the needs of the client.

All MJS corrosion control equipment is certificated to the standards
required by Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23EC.
The equipment all feature rigid construction from steel plates that have
been pre-formed and punched, a floor in the extraction chamber to allow for
improved air flow and easier cleaner, and are fitted with belt driven fans as
standard. There are a number of optional feautres that can be included such as bench type booths, low level chambers and bespoke design
Designed to collect solids over a 100mm at a rate of 30% of a ton per hour, and can convey these materials up to thirty meters, and can be programmed to put the materials into a skip or back into the blast pot at regular intervals.
The portvac weighs one ton, is 1400mm length x w 1400 x h 2300, requires 32 amps and 3 phase of electricity and 15 cfm of air.
Because its design incorporated the manufacturers 25 years of experience, it has the light weight of 1500 kg while still being able to produce 10,000cfm, all in a compact, quiet machine. To stay adaptable the Portex may be moved by transit pick up trucks and off loaded with a forklift or crane, and requires only a 32 amp electricity supply to power operations.
