Paperless Product Information

One of the key advantages of KwikTic is that it gives you instant access to live product information. This means you can publish up-to-date process instructions, product data and documents almost immediately and share them with colleagues, clients and customers without needing to print anything off. You can also use it to manage BOMs and Version Control, to visually interact with assemblies and to find part numbers and circuit references. The information gathered can be shared and simultaneously viewed throughout your facility via the network.

Traceability

Each product that passes through a line process is given a KwikTic serial number. This serial number can be used to find out a wealth of information about the product, including the date and time of an action (production, assembly, test, etc), the operator/user who carried out the action, and the type of action that has been carried out. It can also tell you if any inspection issues have been detected and recorded and whether they have been repaired or just reported. KwikTic serial numbers are designed to give you full traceability over every single product or component that goes through your production plant.

Inspection

KwikTic’s inspection tool allows you to log information about each individual defect, ensuring a more comprehensive and accurate analysis of the product’s condition. The user enters (or scans) a serial number and inputs the defect information in three simple steps:

• Where (i.e which component is/was faulty).
• What was the fault.
• What action was taken (i.e repaired immediately, put aside for repair, scrapped).

Track and Tag

The Track and Tag application allows you to register ‘activities’ for each individual serial number. An 'activity' is something that happens to the Serial Number of a product – it could be simply scanning the product to confirm that it has started production, ended production or reached a storage area. Registering (or tracking) activities means you can have a history of where it has been and the processes that have been applied to it. Meanwhile, the Tagging aspect of the application means you can record more than just activity positions for each serial number. Information such as material used, process temperature, paint batch number and software versions can also be added.

Test

The KwikTic Test tool enables you to record test results in a common database alongside all other inspected defects and repairs. It also enables users to see the Root Cause of test failures after the products have been repaired. 

Another feature of the KwikTic Test tool is the Knowledge Base, which can be used to store information about commonly encountered defects or faults that have previously caused the same test failure. 

Data Reporting

All of the information that is gathered in KwikTic can be viewed and shared using the Data Reporting tool. Data reports produced by KwikTic are very similar to spreadsheets (and in fact can be exported directly to .csv, .xls and various other formats), but have a number of powerful filtering, sorting and grouping features that aid data analysis. Batch Manager

Batch Manager is a handy tool that gives you a complete overview of work currently in process as well as pending jobs that are waiting to be ‘launched’ onto the shop floor. Individual Serial Numbers or full product lines can be tagged, have concessions applied or scrapped as required. You can also create new batches manually within just a few simple steps.

Other Products - Flux Sim

Flux Sim is our training and simulation software tool for wave solder nozzle spray fluxers. All you need to do is enter your process parameters (PCB size, nozzle speed, conveyor speed, etc.) and run the simulation. You can then change individual settings and see how the changes affect the process and what effects they are having on the simulated model. The results can be exported as images for sharing with other users.
