eForensics

This is the application of scientific methodology to computer media in order to establish factual information or to provide expert opinion for legal proceedings. In total there are five main phases to computer, or, digital forensics, these are: The imaging or acquisition of the computer media (collecting the data), examining the data (using forensic software), analysis of the data, compiling a report or statement of findings and providing expert witness testimony. Mobile Device Forensics

Mobile phones and PDAs store an endless amount of data including personal information. This is what makes them even more relied upon as evidence in investigations; providing useful information for both the suspect and the prosecution. In mobile phones, data may be identified in three areas including the mobile phone’s internal memory, the SIM card and any removable memory cards (e.g. Micro SD). We can examine a wide variety of mobile phones from leading manufacturers including LG, Motorola, Nokia, Samsung, Siemens and Sony Ericsson. Data Recovery
