Number plates

Whether you need a new number plate for the rear of your trailer or need to renew your vehicle’s number plates to get through the MOT, Excel Trailers can make one for you whilst you wait, at our premises in Harlow, Essex.

In order to purchase a number plate, we will require your vehicle registration document and another form of photographic identification, for example a driving licence. DVLA rules state that the number plate must only be issued to the vehicle’s owner.

In addition to number plates we also sell plate holders and clips so you can easily fix your plates to the rear of any trailer.

Towbar fitting

At Excel Trailers we can fit towbars to most vehicles and each towbar is covered by a lifetime guarantee so you don’t have to worry if ever anything goes wrong with it. We can have it repaired or replaced for you, free of charge (terms and conditions apply).

We have many different options available for you, depending on your vehicle, whether you need a flange (the most common type) through to a swan neck, detachable, or one with 7 or 13 pin electrics, we’ve got it covered.

Recognised all over the UK, we only use Witter products. Witter has been designing towbars for many years.

Our universal hitchlocks fit the majority of coupling heads, and will stop potential thieves from coupling your trailer to their own vehicle, they’re quick and easy to fit, and can also be used when your trailer and vehicle are already connected! We have wheel clamps available for varying wheel sizes; all priced the same and can be fitted in seconds. Our CCTV cameras are very realistic and move just like a real camera too!

Tyres, wheels and accessories

On our website is a list of the most common tyres and wheels, but if you require another size for your trailer then please just get in touch. Our chrome plated telescopic handle with rubber grip gives an adjustable length of 355-530mm, includes a 17/19mm chrome vanadium socket and is TUV approved. When purchasing a tyre/wheel you will need to know the PCD (pitch circle diameter) - which is an imaginary circle passing through the centre of all of the studs.
