E O Burton and Co Ltd is a family owned business, which has been trading since 1921, becoming a limited company in 1955.  With that amount of experience behind us, our aim is simple – to supply high quality hardwood and softwood products and to offer our customers a fast, reliable and helpful service, along with excellent prices.  Working with top of the line equipment, our expert machinists produce machined timber for all sorts of mouldings, such as skirting, architrave, dado rail, flooring, window cills and beadings, to name a few examples.   We offer a bespoke machining service so you can use your own designs or match existing patterns.  Expert woodworking machinists in our modern, fully equipped timber mill produce milled hardwood and softwood to your specific requirements.  With years of experience and expertise behind us, all our products are produced to a superior standard and come from legal and well-managed sources.  As members of the Timber Trade Federation, we are FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) registered, and are committed to sustainability and high quality.

Flooring

At  E O Burton and Co Ltd, we provide a selection of both solid and engineered wood flooring.  To make your choice easier we offer a selected product range, which you can view on our website.  It is important to us to meet our customers’ exact requirements, so if you do not see the flooring or finish you are after, give us a call or send an email and we will aim to get back to you within 2 hours during the working day.  One of our advisers will then be able to consult with you regarding our larger range of products.

Oak Posts

Our green oak posts come from France and are available in 100mm x 100mm, 150mm x 150mm and 200mm x 200mm sizes and you can choose from 2.4m, 3.0m and 3.6 m lengths.  If you want something different, we can cut to any size or length you require and will supply within 7 to 10 working days.  We are members of the Timber Trade Federation and are FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) registered, so you can be assured that all are products come from legal and well-managed sources.

Lorry Body Flooring

Our lorry body flooring is made from keruing, a hardwood from South East Asia.  We are one of the UK’s largest importers and stockists of keruing and have extensive stocks available, with standard sizes being 21mm x 145mm and 27mm x 145mm, machined for lorry body flooring.  If you require different sizes, just let us know and we will machine sections to your specifications.

MDF Mouldings

We are pleased to provide a good range of primed mdf mouldings in skirting, architraves and window boards.  Additionally, thanks to our state of the art machining department, we can provide bespoke mouldings to your specifications, including skirting, architrave, dado rails, window cills and a great deal more.  Our pattern matching service is able to reproduce any moulding, so you can match what you already have in place.

Worktops

Our bespoke worktop service offers you a lot of choices.  First of all, you decide on the length and width you want.  Then you can take a look at our large selection of hardwoods and choose the one that best suits your needs.  Finally, you can choose what finish you want for the edge of your worktop.  The bespoke worktop is then expertly produced in our state of the art machining department.  You will then have exactly the worktop that fills your requirements.

Sawn Timber

Our comprehensive range of hardwood and softwood comes from all over the world, but you can be assured that wherever it comes from the source will be legal and well-managed.  As members of the Timber Trade Federation and with FSC registration we insist on it.  We stock many different types of hardwood, from American white oak and ash to cherry, iroko, maple, European oak, keruing and a great deal more.  Our softwoods include southern yellow pine, western red cedar and larch.  Have a look on our website to see the full range in stock and to learn more about each type of wood.  If you cannot find what you’re looking for, let us know and we will do our best to help.

Bespoke Services
